Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS is a well known degree creating doctors who are actually considered as god by their patients. It requires lots of hard work which is actually worth the time and money. Frequency of exams is very good. However teaching should be made more practical by offering students more cadavers.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee for the first year is 172000 and increases by 10% each upcoming year making it a total of 910000 for the 2023 batch. It is quite high as compared to the government Medical Colleges of other states. Other charges include the hostel fee i.e. 45k for the 2023 batch, which increases by 4% each year. AC rooms have an additional charge of 10k considered as an electricity bill. No scholarships are available. No big fests organised by the college, very poor exposure, and the stipend is very low as compared to a fee.
Campus Life
Our college had just one fest, the Centennial due to the completion of its 100 years. The library has satisfactory books. Classrooms have ACs and projectors. Sports can be seen but extracurricular activities are limited.
Hostel Facilities
The college has its own hostels, however, the mess is pvt and is below satisfaction, poor hygienic conditions. One one-year fee for a hostel is 45k which is quite high compared to other govt med colleges of other states. Hostels are located inside the campus. There are pgs nearby.
Admission
Eligibility for the course is PCB in class 12 or equivalent qualification. Students are selected on the basis of neet cutoffs every year. Application form for neet opens online. Frequency of university exams is annual. However college conducts its own exams regularly.
Faculty
The ratio of faculty- students is quite satisfactory and good. We have a good number Of staff which includes professors and residents. Good teachers are available who are thorough in their subject concepts and teachings. Teachers are easily approachable and good at communication and problem-solving.
