Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum was not an influence to be specific for me to choose MBBS, it's my father's dream to see me as a doctor As mentioned already curriculum is tough , thereby it prepares us to be very very good doctors.. I don't think am a suitable person to add suggestions to improve the curriculum, there are way better and experienced persons and doctors . Frequency of exams in medical College is usually very high, and my perspective is that theses exams are actually very tough

Fees and Financial Aid

Back in 2020 when I joined GGSMCH Faridkot , this was the fee structure 1st year fees -1,50,000/- 2nd year fees - 1,65,000/- 3rd year fees -1,85,000/- 4th year fees - 1,95,000/- 5th year fees - 95,000/- Currently tution fee has been increased by approximately 22% as compared to year 2020, this can be seen as the fee for this year is 1,83,000/- Almost all other charges are added up in this fee itself including tution fee and excluding hostel charges or mess charges For students of different categories fee structure is same but candidates who belong to schedule caste or below poverty line , EWS can apply for scholarships. Scholarships available - Dr.BR Ambedkar post matric scholarship for SC and OBC candidates

Campus Life

5

Annual fest - Endorphin Gurbaani-Paath Doctors day Books and journals are available in library from 8am to 5pm Smart boards projectors , mics all necessary things are available in lecture theatres Sports and extracurricular activities are organised in college every year Inter prof Basketball, volleyball, cricket, chess , badminton etc Faridkot association of medical students (FAMS) , organises most of the events

Admission

I applied for gmc patiala, gmc Amritsar, GGSMCH Faridkot, and fortunately I got admission in GGSMCH Faridkot. I choosed GGSMCH Faridkot, cause first of all I got ggs faridkot in counseling it's a government medical College. There's no rejection pattern in medical counseling, it is merit based. Admission process - you clear neet UG , apply for counselling based on merit you get allotment letter, you get your documents verified and finally you are officially admitted. Cutoff is variable in different colleges and every year cutoff changes.my admission experience was great.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty to students ratio is 25:150 , ratio is variable in different years depending on no.of junior and senior residents Faculty to student relations are very strong and healthy, they are very easy to approach and very humble by nature. There are many faculties who are very close to me , they've been a great support ,but I'd not like to name anyone . There were no specific faculty members to dislike or something, perspective is that ; there prime target is to make you a better person and a good doctor. There are tremendous no of exams in first year of mbbs consecutively there are 3-4 terms exams in the year and at the end of the year there are university exams for every year student, exams are really tough and so is the marking but 99% of people passout as ofcourse most of them are hardworking doctors.. Course curriculum is really tough and good at the same time as it nurtures you to be a better doctor.. a good doctor

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum “is well-planned … as per NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines.” Practical classes are included daily alongside theory. “practicals are also included each day along with theory classes.” The AETCOM (Attitude, Ethics, Communication) component is explicitly mentioned, which is good because it shows attention to non-technical competencies. there are 4 levels of exams in a year — mid-terms, “send-ups,” etc. Some students feel the curriculum is stressful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The most fascinating thing is to know about the our body which works in a very complex manner and to understand the mechanism of working in our daily routine and they fascinate me to choose this course and well-being of the society and the people to cure the humanity and our college is the humanity service equality some of the teaching methods that is to show more practically along with the theoretical part would be quite more fascinating and interesting in this course and the frequency of the test and the exams which will be taken in our college is best as we can study because of that exams and prepare beforehand for the finals.
