MBBS review of GGSMC FARIDKOT

Likes

I appreciate academics of college and college infrastructure
Greenary in campus. Large no. Of trees are planted
Regular college functions and fests are organised.

Dislikes

Library ac don't work efficiently . Library opens only from 8am to 8 pm.
No proper parking facility for students.
Lots of drugs in hostel, toxic relationship between senior junior

I chose this curriculm for earnig respect. And to. Make my parents proud. This curriculm helps us to deal with the stressful conditions in life Improvements needed in curriculm are.. Less stress of studies. There should be proper interactions between doctor and student

Medical curriculum is now being managed by NMC who are trying new things which are kind of making it a bit weird and also the adaptability has been a little off. But overall its a good motive to stop rote learning

The staff/faculty of the college is quiet good.
Patient inflow is large which gives high clinical exposure.
Proper time is given to studies and practicals.

Dislikes

Campus is too small not large enough.
Lack of sports infrastructure, no playgrounds
Hostels are far apart from the college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of MBBS is completely based on practical study. Different practicals are done to enhance the knowledge like Cadaveric Dissection in Anatomy , live operations in Surgery, blood experiment etc.

I liked the college faculty they are extremely helpful and welcoming, only aspect I think that needs improvement is college trips
College life is quite good, as it all depends on your company , social interactions are extremely good considering the faculty interactions
Faculty is extremely helpful, they are very much talented, there teaching skills are excellent , and they do posses excellent mentorship skills

Dislikes

Theres nothing much to dislike , rather I've learned alot from people around me , I've been grateful to be a part of this college, I've met very nice people they've been a great support for me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum was not an influence to be specific for me to choose MBBS, it's my father's dream to see me as a doctor As mentioned already curriculum is tough , thereby it prepares us to be very very good doctors.. I don't think am a suitable person to add suggestions to improve the curriculum, there are way better and experienced persons and doctors . Frequency of exams in medical College is usually very high, and my perspective is that theses exams are actually very tough

Canteen in hospital very good even open all time
Teachers are very cooperative they help in all stuff

I want to become a doctor so I choose this field . Next system is good but implementation is very difficult so implement it as early as possible.there are 3 exams except final exam in a single year in which 1 St term then 2nd term then send ups and then finals

The college infrastructure is very good. The social interaction is also good as the students are from various states.
There are akso every facilities like library ,canteen ,sports room
The teachers are also very kind and very helpful

Dislikes

The city in which it is located is not upto mark.

Doing MBBS is considered to be a very good in society and also it seems to be very fruitful for the students.It helps to save patients life .The teachers teaches us through power point presentations .The exams are usually conducted after 3-4 months .

The academics in our college are excellent.The faculty is fantastic and are very cooperative and helpful
Frequent tests and exams help us to prepare and revise for the exams efficiently

Dislikes

Too much study oriented.There are very less fests or celebrations
Though the faculty is very nice but they are less in number im some departments

Pursuing my dream of becoming a doctor has changed me very much.I have become a lot serious towards my studies.Though this course is difficult but it also gives me the ability to save lives and shape my future

The holy college of baba farid

Likes

The environment is very friendly and healthy
The interaction with seniors is ver warming which make it a nice plac eto call as second home
The canteen in the college itself is very entertaining

Dislikes

The little old infrastructure which may sometimes be a disgrace
The little negligence on boys hostel infrastructure
The distance between hostel and college is around 3km ehich make it difficult to travel

The comprehensiveness of the curriculum is up to the mark and follow the consistent guidelines of the national medical council of india which aims to include more practical approach to the professional course of medicine

Best Average Medical College

Likes

Students consider other Punjab's Medical colleges to be better but academically, it is the best in Punjab
Auditorium is well equipped with ACs and is the best among Punjab colleges
Hostel Facility is very good and safe for both boys and girls

Dislikes

Infrastructure of college campus and hostels not upto the mark
Sports facilities not available in the college campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is well organised and the weekly time tables are reviewed by the HODs themselves. Exam pattern is also much better than other medical colleges as the pre proffs are held on the same pattern as tose of final exams

course and its value and the studious environment
very academic oriented faculty and region not so developed
as there is nothing much in city you tend tu study more

Dislikes

nothing in the city to chill and relax or to enjoy
very harsh climate no good food or water and electricity problem
peripheral area and every large city is very far from here

the course in iyself is very hard and very relevant all the things learnt here will definitely help in future of all of us and it also provides with self employment opportunities or you can opt for specialisation
