Remarks

This University has very good all india ranking and is one of the best in India.I opted for this course because Mechanical is one of the oldest and core branch and you can get job in psu after this course if you get good marks in gate.

Course Curriculum Overview

9 to 5 classes and lab and one hour break and Saturday, Sunday off, Faculties are supportive and quiet skilled.Course syllabus is sufficient and completed in 4 month span and 2 minors and majors along side practicals are conducted for testing.2 industrial training and one final year training industrial is compulsory and and also 1 minor and 1 major project is to be completed compulsary.Faculties like Dr.Amit Thakur and Dr. Anjali Sharma and Dr.Shankar Sehgal and Dr.Amit Chauhan and Dr.Harbhinder Singh are some of the best professors of our department and also Dr.Gurdeep Singh is one of the most hard working and nicest professor.

I have internship in DMW which is a government firm you will get training certificate but not any stipend

Placement Experience

Company visited like Honeywell, Infosys, Deloitte,ZS Associates and Mahindra, isuzu etc and lot of other non core companies like Amazon,and Goldman Sachs all these visited our campus and you must have that capability to get placed. Famous startups like growvation are from our college

College Events

We have lot of fests, activities in our college including our college fest Goonj and lot of University fests like Agaaz,vimarash,etc. And fests are very big with huge foot fall and also sports event like inter College and inter hostel are also there.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure is good with a department library and one huhe University library also there are lot of ground for different sports like cricket, badminton,tennis, basketball, hockey, shooting, swimming etc.wifi is free,good and available at all areas and lab equipments are sufficient.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is fine and space in rooms is good and lot of trees around your hostel and clean wash rooms.Hostels are allocated on merit basis and double seater and triple seater are available.

Overall College is good

Placement Experience:

2nd year and last year student got placements. But very few got placements . Because rare companies visit college. Amazon, wipro and many more but very few ratio of students got placements. I have not got any placements. My batchmates have not got any placements. So overall experience of placements is bad.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid:

My Fees Structure of 4 years course is 245000 Rs., at the time of admission college has taken more fees as other bachments has, ex one of my friend has 160000 rs. At that time of admission they take fees according to background of the person, scholarship afford for me is 25000 per year, it's very low according to my fee structure.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
