The college management is the best. They should remain this way so that it stays at the top and maintains the no 1 ranking forever.

Entrance Preview

I gave my ISC to join this college. I scored 96.5%. I opted for this particular college because it ranks No 1 in top commerce colleges in Kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very vivid. All important chapters and aspects are covered. Costing, Accounts, Taxation . All aspecets are covered. We have both pass and honours subjects . 100 marks for each paper. And all three year marks obtained are calculated to obtain average.

Internships Opportunities

Many top companies come to provide internship. A few companies are IBM, Dell, Apple, TCS, Coal India, Ambuja Cement And stipend offered depends on position and qualifications if students ranging from 20000-50000 per month on a average basis.

Placement Experience

Total 23 students were placed from.campus placement. Many top companies come to provide campus placement. A few companies are Tentra, Dell, CA Saraf Co, TCS, Coal India, Ambuja Cement.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As its a Government College fees is very low. Ranging between Rupees 1500 - 2000 annually. The fees is very feasible. No student has any difficulty in paying the college fees on time.

No loan given. The college does not give any loan. The fees are very less so no loan required. Scholarships are given to meritorious students. All expenses are covered by college for their course.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. Proud to be Goenkan

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
