Remarks

Our college is quite strict which is also good in some ways and bad in some ways. There are some teachers who just come to class repeat the ppts and give their bottomine effort. And there is just a very big thing thing that in this college there is boosting of marks of students CSE and IT department irrespective of their marks which is very negative impact on the students who are giving their best.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is mostly rote learning and exam curriculum is quite impressive. I want to make my foundation in coding skills for which we have quite good environment. Although, coding is not something you could rely on your teachers in our college. It is better to practice with friends for exploration and foundation. I am in 1st year, but still have some good skills to do some easy code driven job. Yes, there were some industrial visits that were organised by our college.

Placement Experience

3

Placement in our college is overall good for an average job. But the good thing is that our college arrange many classes for government based jobs and has many students who are in good goverment jobs which I mean good pay grade. This year the students got placed is about 50 percent but last yaer it was about 90 percent. Almost every student got placed but the main thing is that most of them are placed at pay grade of 3-4 lakh pay per annum.

College Events

4.5

There are so many curtural events in our college there is almost an event in every consecutive day. Most of them are workshops or seminars which is a good thing, I mean we have to gain techinal knowlegde and develop personality as much as possible in most of these 4 year span, who cares about dance or singing.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible that the main reason of my admission in this college. Although they keep increasing the college fees, but they keeps increasing the college fees which is not good. I mean of the studious ones belong to middle class or poor families who cannot afford such amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about the scholarship provided in college but I do have applied for education loan under BSCC SCHEME from Bihar. To apply this scheme your college have to be under NAAC or NIRF rankings. The loan I availed was about 4, 00, 000 Indian rupee.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio in our college college is very low. There are about 10-20 girls in each section and for Mechanical stream there are hardly any girl. Our college is better then average in robotics, debates etc. And yes we have good labs with almost most of the required tools. One of the best thing is there is no violence, no sexual orientation or politics or ragging. I mean most of the seniors are busy in their own study. Instead of ragging we have to talk to them for solutions if they are not busy.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

No, I have not opted for the hostels provided by our college which is quite expensive. Colleges hostels ask for about 80, 000 per year which should be paid at once which is not reliable. Instead of which, I have opted for PG at remote place which is reliable for me in terms of cost.

Alumni/Alumna

This college has good alumni network. In this whole year o have only seen a single student who has some egoistic temperament apart from this most of the seniors are reliable and have good expertise in their field.

Admission

I had opted for WBJEE entrance exam. The entrance exam was on 26th, May 2019. My rank was around 3000-4000. It was enough to get admission in this college. The admission process was in three phases where we were given choice on the basis of our course and college selection, preference wise. I was preferring the core course like CSE or IT. But to low rank I got admission in Mechanical department.

Faculty

3

There is about 8 lectures per chapter and there are about 6-15 chapters per semester in each 8-10 subjects including theoretical and practical based subjects. The average age of teachers at our college are around 37 and all of them are PhDs except 10-20 teachers. There are some teachers who have quite good approach and impact on subject, but they include about 30-40%of our teachers. There are some teachers who have industry experience but most of them are in practical workshops.

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
