Remarks

Government institution of engineering, The college was very reputed . placement and faculty were good , most of all it is an autonomous institution.It is Aicte and Ugc certified college. it has a large campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was an usual course like any other engineering college with 8 semesters. The faculty comprised of permanent and m.tech students. All the faculty were well qualified to teach the syllabus. The academics was good and the grades given by the faculty were unbiased. Everyone got what they deserved. Many of the faculty were highly qualified like K.M.sir he is exception in the field of analog electronics. He had his own lab setup in the labrotary . He used to research ideas.He was a great help for avg.students like me.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 225000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I did an internship in Globsyn company were my stipened was 9500 INR. There i worked on machine learning platform . The internship was not provided by college ,i opted it myself. The team with whom i worked was excellent.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. There were 3 seperate boys hostel and one girls hostel of the copoege. There are gaurds 24×7 in the hostel.The hostel has its own piwer supply in case of power failure. Boys hostel was a bit messy but it is the boys hostel only.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
