Review of NSEC : A college to chase dreams

The main aspect of that influenced me to chose this course was it taught about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning which has a good future scope . The curriculum is not so updated however it prepares moderately to get a job in the Industry. The curriculum should be updated and be focused on IT industry requirements and focus less on theory . In a single semester 4 internal and a semester exams is taken which is moderately easy

The companies like TCS offers interships and the role offered by them are " Training Associate System Engineer". And there are many more companies offering internships . In the 4th year the one or the othercompanies are regularly visiting college and hiring students for interships and jobs

From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the campus placements . Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Approximately 85 percent of the students gets placed . My plans after getting the degree is to get a Software Developer job

The total fees of the course is 697000 . In first semester we paid 98500 , in second 93500 and in rest of the semesters we will pay approx 84000. There are no extra fees charged except semester exam fees which is paid before each semester which is approximately 1000 rupees. There are no such scholarship provided by the college however the domicile students of West Bengal recieves the Swami Vivekanand scholarship if they fullfill the required criteria

The name of the the annual fest held in our college is 'Mesmerizer' and it was held in the month of April. The library is well equipped with all sort of books and journals. Most Classrooms are air conditioning with projectors , wifi . The sports facility of the college is not so good however the college has a football ground , a badminton court and various other indoor games . There are many student runned social groups and clubs and their impact on student life is that it teaches students to maintain surroundings clean and help people in need

I applied for some college in Noida like GL Bajaj and I was getting admission there but because of the distance from my state that is Jharkhand I preferred this college. Also I applied in colleges like Heritage Institute of technology and Techno Main Salt Lake and I was rejected because my wbjee rank was not enough to qualify . The admission process of this college is that we get admission here through exams like 'Wbjee' and 'Jee Mains' and then there is are counseling rounds held in which we have to to participate. The cutoff for my course in this college was 30000 (wbjee rank) . The overall admission experience was good

The student to faculty ratio is approximately 15:1 . The student and faculty relationship is good and faculties are approachable like we can contact them any time during the college hours and also some faculties are available after the college hours also . The faculty that I liked was the 1st year maths teacher "Subhrata Mondal" as he was very helpful. There are no such faculties that I didn't like . In a particular semester there are four internal exams and a semester exam and they are moderately easy . Approximately 10 percent of the students fail to clear the exam

The college provides a gym which is too small and the library is good enough to find books and study and college has a cafeteria. Our college does not provide any hostels however enough PG and mess are available in the surroundings. Our college is in Kolkata so there are many places to hang out in Kolkata . The locality of our college is safe enough to roam at night
