Remarks

This college was known as one of the best colleges for this course and also good in extra curriculars, which I longed to join. This college had a good location, easy to be reached and transport was not that costly. I preferred this college over colleges which were relatively far, or were not in a relatively good location. In addition, this is a girls college and had been a dream college for me, but for in a different course. The dramatics clubs of this college were popularly renowned in their respective circuits, because I was planning to join dramatics society in the college.

We had optional papers in our 2nd and 3rd years, for which, if a new subject was added to the options, we were given that option. The teachers were appointed according to the option subject selected by the class. The faculty has varied teaching styles, and are great teachers in the terms of a tutor. Varun sir and Jyotika ma'am of our department were personally involved with our learning and had a great role of our overall learning.

The Placement Cell puts a great amount of hardwork for the students to get the best companies and profiles. The terms and conditions followed by Placement Cell are strict and helps the overall rate of placements too.

College Events

The festivals organised by our college team, The Public and Media Relations Team and the student's union is a very well renowned festival and people are just waiting for it to happen. Be it the annual cultural fest, Reverie- which is a three day cultural event having various competitions (organised by respective societies) alongwith scheduled star nights. Or be it the annual Diwali Mela, Zistatva, which ends up having a large social gathering, getting better and brighter every year. Talking about the societies, all the societies Gargi has, have a never ending list of achievements and trophies.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure is underdeveloped, but it is getting better. The wi-fi does not work in the whole college. We do have one of the best grounds and the best auditoriums in the Delhi University overall.

Actually the 3 discipline core subjects are truly important and relevance to my course. However the skill enchantment course and value addition course, even EVS taught this semester barely helps. That sometimes even felt like a burden. Still choosing the right GE, major is useful. I enjoy that... going through.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

MY COLLEGE - HEAVEN AND HELL

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.

I knew a senior already and asked her about the college she said teaching staff is good for which I can totally agree..there are a lot of assignments and stuff but at last it's helpful helps to gain exposure, knowledge and experience If you participate in all the activities which happend then it will be really good and helpful But the syllabus is very vast and with activities and assignment it gets stressful For the first year first sem it was very hectic as the exams were in really few gap but it was fine in second sem It is advised to try to study side by side atleast a little bit

Great place to earn knowledge!!

Hindu College was certainly the dream place and score too was enough to get admission there. However, my parents sent me to Delhi with a condition that I can apply only in Ladies college. Gari College has given endless memories!!

I obviously like every girl in India wanted LSR but 790 was the cut-off for LSR and for Gargi it was 772. I missed my mark by 6 numbers or percentile or else I would have been reviewing LSR currently.
