Remarks

College of Vocational Studies is one of the best colleges of South Campus in University of Delhi. It has many different courses and the faculty is good. Also, CVS had a great ranking and some really good reviews on online sites.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think that BBE is one of the best courses for Commerce students and curriculum is great. Our faculty is great except for our economics teacher. But our course is really good for those interested in pursuing economics as a career.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement cell of our college is not really great. The placements are mostly for vocational courses and Bcom(hons) students. Bachelor's in management studies and Business Economics students don't have really good placements.

College Events

We didn't really get to be a part of any management fest due to the outbreak of Corona pandemic. But the Biannual fests of the societies were great and had a really good participation and since there are more than 30 societies in the college you really get to learn a lot.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure is great. All the books are available in the library and you can get access to them anytime. Also, you can get any sports equipment which are always available. We don't have any labs since there isn't any course requiring them.

Insight over college campus.

Placement Experience:

From the last semester 6th students becoming eligible for the placement. Many companies like whipro visited and the maximum salary is 23lpa and average is 5lpa. I'm in the first yr so I don't have much idea about placement. I'll prepare for the Civil Services.

South Campus Life at SBSC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because i want to go for government exams and political science is an important subject for clearing government exams As per my info, my curriculum is very close to syllabus for exams like UPSC and SSC For improving teaching methods, projectors should be installed and implemented as it helps us to understand and see it more better The frequency of exam is twice a year as semester exam, and exam is not very tough nor too easy, it is medium level that anyone can score good marks if studied well.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh - A place of enhancement

Placement Experience:

Students are eligibility to sit in the placement from 5th semester and there are various companies who visited my college such as KPMG, Deloitte, Reliance, magicpin, etc. and number of offers they made were not explicitly disclosed by college and highest package was around 25 lakhs and average package is around 5 lakhs or 4 lakhs depends upon course to course and profile offered are finance, audit, digital marketer, etc. and around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Truth About SBSC

Course Curriculum Overview:

Regarding course curriculum, I am not satisfied the additional courses like SAC, VAC, AEC have no purpose, they are just a headache which makes it difficult for students to focus on the main subjects, although I am in favour of GE subjects. The marking scheme of 90 marks written paper and 70 marks for internal is also great. In my college the students can get their placement from 4 rd sem . Whereas we can apply in internships from 2 nd sem . The highest package offered was 9 lakh per annum and median package was around 5lakh and lowest package was 2.5 lakh. My plans after getting the degree is to start my own business .

Placement Experience:

Companies visit are often at our college like Deloitte, wipro , Infosys , KPMG etc but options are wide only for commerce background students they are limited for arts faculty students like me. Highest package is about 6 to 7 lpa while most of the package ranges between 4 to 6 lpa percentage of students getting are average and they are mostly from comm letce and economic or business background. I would go for journalism and choose IIMC for my master's.

Consequences after getting admitted in DU

I gave the CUET exams to get my college. CUET exam is basically an entrance test for bachelors degree which eligibles you to all the central universities of India. You have to appear for four domain subjects that you have studied in your class 11th and 12th. You can apply for any course irrespective of it's connection with the subjects that you jave studied earlier. Based on your cuet score you will be eligible for different courses. The cutoff is really high for Delhi University starting from 600 for more most of the courses starting from the lower reputed colleges. You do get reservation benefits. The application form are generally out in the month of April. The exam has nothing to do with your class 12th percentage until you have passed the class.
