Remarks

Except the college infrastructure everything else was upto the mark placement was one of the best in the country a good college overall.

I took kerala engineering entrance 10000 one of the best colleges of kerala and the placement statistics were good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Detailed curriculum which gives a strong base electives digital signal processign advanced bio signal processign,Biosensors and Transducers,Modern Control Systems.

Internships Opportunities

College did not provide internship opportunity students had to find internship opportunity themselves but placements were good and had placement score of more than 90%.

Placement Experience

Very good placements are offered. Many companies like deloitte,microsoft,nvidia,tcs ,infosys,mindtree,adp,musigma,GE,cordys,nokia siemens,zynga,broadcom etc pays visit every year and has above 90% placement statistics for all branches.

College Events

Technical and cultural events were celebrated throughout the year which had a good exposure outside the state as well. Technical activities provided a good platform for exposure.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible as it was government college. Management quota fees was not expensive as well nri quota fees were comparatively expensive govt 6200 per year management 32000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship,loan facility offered by my college that i know of or availed but as it was a goverment college fees was less.

Campus Life

Cultural activities were good but the college infrastructure were not upto the mark considering the reputation of the college. Gender ratios,Hostel Parties,workshops,cultural societies and tolerance with regards to gender,ethnicity,race,religion,sexual orientation,politics and economic status were all good.

Alumni/Alumna

Really good and supportive alumni. Placements are good mainly because of the supportive alumni good interaction with alumni and helped a lot during placements too.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs very frequent leaving us with a chilled out feeling was not hectic.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
