Remarks

Indraprastha College For Women is the best choice for psychology. It has extremely amazing faculty with experience and skills relevant to the subject. Teachers and students are extremely friendly and supportive. 0 ragging or inappropriate behavior for sure. Being a girl's college it supports women upliftment and empowers women in all aspects like education, extracurricular, sports, being independent, etc. It has so many plus points which other colleges don't have like we have a swimming pool , gym, wall climbing, soccer, tennis court, badminton court, e scooters, laptop on demand, huge playgrounds, various cells for student support and many more. Being in such a reputed college is a dream for many. A degree from this college is highly appreciated due to it's the excellent quality of education. Also the admission process is so sorted in comparison to other colleges of DU. Like other colleges where you have to stand in lines for hours and hours, this is not the case here.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is designed perfectly. The teachers are thorough with the course and teach amazingly. They are very student friendly and considers the problems students must be facing other than studies. They are willing to clear doubts after classes also , you can contact them , they are very approachable. Their are tutorial classes which are devoted to teacher student bonding and doubts clearing. For a class of 50 there are different teachers for different subjects. Apart from lecture classes there are lab classes in which we do our practicals and make practical files. The teaching methods are with pace to students. Every 6 months exams are held and a viva with the external is there. Internals keeps on going throughout the sem. Being the best in education there is emphasis on quality education and timely submissions.

Placement Experience

4

Final year students are eligible for placements. Although most seniors opt for Masters and don't go for a job. After getting the degree I'll do a Masters in psychology.

Campus Life

5

Our department hosts a term fest of psychology and college has a yearly fest, not as huge as other colleges in DU because of limited entry due to security issues. The college is a bit far away from the main campus but is a part of the north campus. It takes 10 mins to reach the main campus from the college. To chill and hang out the nearest place is Kamla Nagar, Hudson lane, etc. The college infrastructure is very good. We have an AC library with 3 floors, it's updated and has every book and journal. In sports, we have cricket, basketball, tennis, soccer, handball, swimming, gym, badminton, wall climbing, etc. There are many societies and support groups by the students, for the students.

The third year students can get themselves enrolled in the placement cell of SVC and then they can definitely get our opportunities being a political science student. My focus is not much on the placement, but the placement cell offers a lot of companies like Deloitte and students get placed as well, me and the other hand has a preference for government exams. I'll be preparing for that in future also for government exam prep. Also there are a few societies which offer help in the

Highest package offered was around 23LPA and the average package was around 6LPA. The profiles that they offered was for accountants, career analyst, HR etc. People who got placement had decent percentages. They were higjly active in department and college activities and have done good internships too. After completing this degree I would want to get into Law.
