My experience at Gargi

Applied Psychology or Bachelor of Arts Honours in Applied Psychology is an undergraduate Psychology course. Applied Psychology is the use of psychological principles and theories to overcome problems in other areas, such as mental health, business management, education, health, product design, ergonomics, and law.

Being a psychologist is not that well-paying profession. Placements after BA are not very common in this field, so you have to opt for masters, and even after that, there isn't a lot a monetary scope, like Rs. 20,000-35,000 per month. But the college provides a lot of exposure through talks and other events which provide the needed guidance.

There are many events celebrated in our college like reverie which is on a large scale and zistatva like diwali fest and students enjoy it by having different food stalls shopping stalls and many other events are also celebrated like teachers day, sports days due to which students participate and get to know the world and become confident by exploring things.

Fee structure is feasible as this is a government University which is approximately 10000 or 150000 per annum which a student can pay and and get educated and degree of well known University like gargi.

The scholarship is available for those from an economical weaker background. My friend got 3000 as a scholarship at that time. I haven't availed any such facility yet.yes there are many students I know about who are offered scholarships. Loan facility -i seriously don't know much about it but the interest rates are low I guess and loans are offered very easily.

No hostel, but yes a canteen which definitely good. Accommodation is definitely the only lacuna of Gargi college which can be thought about in detail as students outstation find it difficult to afford reasonable rentals in such a high-class locality. Food issues can be resolved via hostel food.

Alumni network and alumni meets are all organized and yes to a certain extent they are a good help. I remember our seniors visiting us and sharing notes to their personal experiences even career counseling.

After its cut off list was out, i applied to the college for admission. We were supposed to fill the application forms and provide our marksheets of tenth and twelfth along with the migration certificate (if need be) and a character certificate.

Faculty wise the college is good but not great. Teachers are friendly and helpful, but all of them are not good. They provide good material, and they are open to queries. But in all colleges, students have to study themselves. The course curriculum is according to DU guidelines, so it will be the same in all colleges. But private colleges should provide a better curriculum and teaching.
