Entrance Preview

I have joined college through KCET. It is the college with pretty high cuttoff marks u can join with KCET or COMEDK exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

Currently im in M.Tech and i have choosed it on my own interest. The course mainly focused on designing thermal engineering and etc and also u can enjoy a lot.

Placement Experience

College is having pretty good placement history. If u excel in academics the high profile job is quranteed for u. Even though u are down with CGPA u will be placed in TCS atleast.

College Events

College conducts two fests every year phase shift a techno fest utsav a cultural fest which is most famous in the city and people go crazy on utsav events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since i have joined through government quota the fees is only 20000 pa. If u join through management quota im sure its in lakhs.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is bit expensive. Its around 150000 pa. The quality of hostel is good since u pay heavy amount the needs are satisfied. The mess food is awrsome and good quality but only VEG.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Exam Structure

You will be having 3 internals wich are scheduled at every 30 days. Best of 2 scores will be considered a for ur assesment u can chill out in college.

Faculty

The college is having very high qualified faculty with lots of experience especially my branch is having 70% faculty with Ph.D and u can enjoy a lot knowledge from their side.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Mtech Thermal Engineering because I was interested in thermal subjects like Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, CFD. The Curriculum is pretty decent and it does covers the fundamentals and advanced topics of the particular subject but it could be better in terms of imparting practical and industrial knowledge. The exams that are held in NITK are competitive and requires a good understanding of the subject. You simply cannot cram and get good marks in exam. You have to know the proper implementation of that particular formula or theory.

I gave first preference to RVCE, but as my rank was less compared to cut off, I was unable to get a seat in the college and I ended up getting the seat in BMSCE which was my 2nd preference.
