Remarks :

I have chosen this course because I am always passionate to learn chemistry. I want to explore it by doing research in my future. This is one reason for which I have chosen chemistry. Central University is a very good place to study because all faculty members are researchers. About 2-3 cultural events are organised per month. Sports oriented students can also go for different sports. The campus is provided with Led lights for night time. Students also get scholarships from university and also DST scholarships are also available.

Placement Experience :

The total strength in our course is about 40, which might expand next year. Every year 2-3 students get an internship from reputed science institutions. Students from the chemistry department have cleared national level tests like CSIR NET, GATE, etc. Most of the students chose research courier. Every year the national level chemistry conference is conducted. Many students have got placements in geology but from the passing out batch I saw 10 students out of 30 getting placements in ISRO. The highest package was around 10 Lacs rupee. There are many jobs recruits in geology such as OIL, Hutti mines, Kolar mines, etc.

The fees structure is made in such a manner that it is feasible for all students. The total for fees for the entire course is Rs.11,715. It provides separate hostel for both girls and boys. There are 3 food stations, banking facility, bus facility, bicycles for students, etc.

The candidate should have minimum of 55% for the graduation. And these candidates should apply online with required information. Eligible candidates need to appear for the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) conducted by the university.Admission is based on the rank obtained in Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). There are a total of 20 seats out of which 5 seats are reserved for obc students, 4 seats for sc/st students and 1 seat for pwd students.

Faculty :

Faculty members in our college are highly qualified. Most of them are from IIT, UOH and DU institutes. They have high teaching and research experience. They are student-friendly. They are from different parts of India. The course curriculum mostly covers all chemistry topics, and it is relevant to CSIR exam syllabus. But the university is a new one. So it currently has no industrial linkage. But every year industrial visit is conducted for students.

Placement Experience:

There are departments with placements and university has got a placement cell. There are also various career guidance classes, Innovation and entrepreneurship development centre(IEDC) to support students. But my course is more of a research oriented and as such I can apply for phd opportunities myself. The faculties will help in getting internships, recommendations and journal publications as long as long as we are interested.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Talking about the course, as it is a pg course the main thing is the effort we put in this subject. The teachers has a limit and it is always the effort we put from our side to complete the course. Frankly speaking, the course is a tough one. Syllabus is so long that many things are there to study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is to be updated. The university provides a weak syllabus and the system of conducting examinations are outdated. Exams are not in time and the results are delayed. Exams are moderate to easy. Sometimes same questions appear. But, course helped me to get a vast knowledge about my subject

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the placement in their final year of the course. We have BS-MS, MSc, IPhD and PhD currently. Students from BS-MS are more likely to be placed. Though placement is less as students mostly go for research after masters. We have a placement cell that notifies about the opportunities in industries and academia. As my plans are to pursue a PhD after getting this degree so I never got interested in placement opportunity.
