Remarks

The gate timings are pretty strict and the hostel in timings are strict too. There are way more classes and we have to work like everyday for 8-5 and there’s no fun in that. One positive remark would be the events happening in college that really lifts up the mood.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The days are very hectic it’s 31 hours a week and everyday it’s 8-5 grind. Course structure is just okay, it’s very simplistic but lengthy. Exam days are the best because there are no classes during the week.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are just good not as the level of IIT’s of course but kinda good. College does internships but that purely depends upon the person if he’s interested or not. A lot of companies come during the placements and internships like Zomato, IBM, Infosys, J.P.Morgan, Microsoft Samsung etc.

College Events

2.5

There are a lot of events that take place in the college, in November the biggest festival happens by the name of Saturnalia under it there a lot of other events whether it is cultural, technical, etc. Technical and cultural events happen besides this festival and are organised by the societies in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is kinda expensive for a middle class family, so the computer related courses have a fee of ?1,60,000 and non computer related have fee of ?1,50,000 per semester and the other expenses of hostel and other services are not included, it gets up to almost ?4,50,000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

So there’s a scholarship program for the kids who score well in the first year and there’s a program for the kids who score good in jee mains. These students get some scholarship from the college and are relaxes from there fee a little bit.

Campus Life

4

So it’s an engineering college so the sex ratio is not that great but it’s okay than other colleges. We don’t have any kind of student or dorm parties because rules. Anything the college says or make new rules we have to follow it, if we protest then it might change but usually students follow the rules.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Now hostels for 1st year are the worst, and,3rd and 4th year hostels are newly built so they have all the amenities. The hostels for 1st year are mostly 4 seater which creates a lot of mess in the room, the food is not that great and the internet connectivity is terrible. The hostel rooms are small for 4 people to fit in.

Alumni/Alumna

Not much interaction is there between students and seniors or alumni because these things the society have to take care. We have different societies, a society for alumni and student interaction, and the only interaction with seniors is the societies. Once you some seniors they surely help and guide but the main problem is to get to know them.

Admission

The admission process was quite simple, I filled in the form online and we went to the campus and we were called according to our jee mains percentile, I Choose the electronics and computers course because it included both of computers and electronics and I wasn’t eligible for the course above this.

Faculty

3

The faculty is qualified some of them are IIT graduates and some of them teach very good. But some of the teachers are just doing there 8-5 job, they have no interest in teaching and don’t care that much.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
