Remarks
When I was studying in the College, there was no College hostel at that time. Later on the management insisted on building a hostel for the benefit of the students, which got approved by the authorities. During my academic year itself the hostel was built and so many students were accommodated which I would like to quote as a positive remark.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was in the last batch of Kerala University. The curriculum is a bit tough and time is short. There were scheduled internal exams for each semester. Based on the score obtained, attendance and assignments internal marks out of 50 will be given. Finally you will have the university exam.
Placement Experience
The College itself has a separate wing named Career Guidance and Placement unit which has a dedicated faculty who tries his best to get the students placed. Companies like Infosys, Tata elxsi, HSBC and so on conduct placement drives in the College and many of the students get placed.
College Events
There is intraCollege technical and cultural fest as well as inter College fest. The inter College fest is named YAGNA DHRUVA and is conducted in the month of March. Students from all professional Colleges do participate in both technical as well as cultural competitions as apart of the fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This is government undertaking College. So there are merit, management and NRI seats. NRI seats are expensive compared to the other two. Merit seat was of 35k yearly when I was studying there. Management seats were of 65k per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are so many scholarships provided by the government for which I have applied. For all of them so many documents are either to be provided by the College or to be attested by the principal. Anyway they were always ready to encourage students to apply for those scholarships. Apart from this LITAA (LBS Institute of Technology Alumni Association) scholarship is there that I got during my studies.
Campus Life
This is a women's College. There is no politics in the College. An union is elected each year which is not based on any politics. The students themselves themselves organise technical events and workshops in which other College students can also participate.
Alumni/Alumna
College seniors are very friendly and they would help us in organizing events as well as our studies. Seniors and alumni who are placed would provide you an insight on placements and the types of questions you will be facing on interviews and all.
Admission
First I analysed the previous year allotment list in which the rank details were there. Then based on my KEAM rank, I arranged my options in the allotment application. When I was alloted, we went to the College to take admission. Proper orientation class was given for parents and students on joining the College.
Faculty
Each and every faculties are dedicated and qualified. But the teaching method is different for each of them. Some of the subjects were a little tough. But with the guidance of the faculties as well as combine studies we were able to understand them.
