A state university with the best atmosphere

Its a vast university with plethora of opportunities.University administration is student friendly and caters the needs of all students if those go with the objectives of the university. Students academics, health, social life etc are well taken care of.

Course curriculum is being upgraded considering mammoth changes in technologies, scientific pedagogy and scope of employment. For every subject, there is a separate Board of Study which consists of eminent persons from Industry and academia. They are entrusted to overview the course structure in regular interval to prepare the students employable and research oriented. Continuous Evaluation system is being followed for examination of in house students which consists several class tests, improvement tests, assignment, quiz, presentation etc. Flipped learning model of teaching has been adapted for betterment of the students.

Placement facility is available for all the students without any fee. Almost 100% placement is provided to the UG students. Students are groomed in that manner, and it's their credit that they give their best in all the placement drives. Internship opportunity is available but without hampering regular classes in companies like Infosys, TCS etc.

University tries to celebrate all the meaningful occasions to encourage, engage it's stakeholders and for overall development of the students. Some events are- National Unity Day, National Science Day, Science Congress, Poster Competition, Model or Project exhibition Fresher's welcome and hundreds of seminars, workshops and conferences where participants from 194 affiliated colleges come.

Being a state university fees are comparatively less than any other private college/ university. Tuition fees are reasonable and ranging from 12000 to 18000 INR per semester. Hostel fees is Rs.1500 approx per month which includes 24 hours electricity, wifi facility (unlimited), cleaning and washing facility, CCTV coverage etc.

Faculty of education loan is available. DBT, DST of Govt. Of India scholarship, TEQIP III scholarship for PhD, Kanyyashree of State Govt., Minority scholarship, Merit cum Means scholarship, Swami Vivekananda scholarship etc are available for students.

Gender ration is around 70:30. Workshops on modern technology like IoT, Machine learning, Block chain, Cryptography etc are being organized. We have students from 15 states of India. Induction programe is conducted every year to sensitize students about ragging, sexual issues etc.

Hostel fees are affordable. Boys hostel is G+5 and Girls hostel is G+2. 192 rooms in Boys and 96 rooms is Girls hostel. Girls hostel rooms are provided in double sharing basis, and in boys hostel, 96 rooms on double and rest 96 rooms are provided on triple sharing basis. Two Lifts are there in boys hostel, 24 hrs electricity, power backup, unlimited Wifi, washing machines, UV based water purifier are available in both hostels. State of the Art gymnasium facility is provided in both the hostels.Canteen facility is also available.

We have a strong alumni network. Yes they are really helpful. Every year alumni meet is organized to bridge the gap between students a d ex student, also to make the network strong. Alumni association has been registered already under societies act.

For B.Tech courses- WBJEE, M.Tech- GATE / PGET, BBA BCA BSC MSC MCA- CET, MBA- JEMAT, MTech in Biotechnology- JNUDBT, PhD- Interview. WBJEE is conducted by WBJEE board under Govt. Of WB, GATE is conducted by IIT, PGET, CET, JEMAT are university's own entrance exam.

Faculties give one to one attention as far as possible. Being a state university, qualifications of the faculties are beyond any doubt. Teacher student ratio is below 1:10. They are easily accessible.
