I had to sit for a CET (Common Entrance Test) for this program. After completing my masters in arts, I wanted to pursue my higher studies in International Relations from Jadavpur University. I had chosen this program because it will help me in my future research work. In this CET, I scored 63 out of 100 and secured 5th rank in order to merit.
Course Curriculum Overview
This course is purely focused on research area. It helps you to get proper knowledge before heading towards your top degree, P.hD. It starts with research methodology, which gives you the basic understanding of research process. Apart from that this two year course helps you to understand the proper shift from masters level to research level.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is absolutely pocket friendly. The total amount for per semester is 500 rupees for arts faculty which includes everything. Here you will come across many students from poor economic condition, but such little amount of fee structure helps them to pursue their education in such good institution.
Fees and Financial Aid
We do have M.Phil fellowship but unfortunately still we're not getting it because of UGC's suspension notice.
Exam Structure
It is purely semester system. In my course, we have total two semesters. One semester takes place during in the month of december and another one in may. Both carries 50 marks each and apart from that it has a 1 year to submit your dissertation. Before the exams, classes regularly take place with proper discussions and presentations.
Admission
It is an easy process of application. I had applied online with all my details (including demand draft) and then received my admit. After 1 month sat for the CET and then result came out and got selected. Then the university asked for the counselling and interested students were present and smoothly got admission.
