JU review

As par recent reports, JU is 2nd rank holder in state funded university list. Also, JU has awarded with IOE status. Overall performance of this institute makes it a NAAC A grade university. JU secured 14th spot in overall category provided by NIRF.

This course has atleast 6 semesters after registration. After completion of each sem, one have to submit his progress report in front of PRC committee. After completeion of atleast 6 progress report one may submit his thesis.

There is a placement cell for UG and PG student. But there is no such assistance is provided for doctoral fellows. Though there is insufficiency of placement cell for doctoral students, the professors guide them extraordinarily for their post doctoral research.

Being a state government university, Jadavpur University has a very nominal fees for students. For a full time doctoral fellow with any state/national fellowship it takes around 22,000 INR for 5yrs phd program. For non-funded fellows it costs around 14,000 INR.

There is a huge list of fellowships and schemes for doctoral students in this renowned university. Any national or international fellowship can be utilized here. Additionally there is a provision of state govt fellowship schemes. In case of doctoral degree there is no loan facility.

JU sports department is exceptionally doing well. We have 2 cricket grounds and 3 football grounds along with 4 basketball courts in our campuses. Departmental experts are talented and departments are well equipped with required infrastructures.

Every department of JU has its separate alumni network. Every year they met in a special occasion called "Samonnoy". They exchange their thoughts and feelings. Both alumnis and current students organize this event every year and decorate with various live performances.

It has basically 2parts. Entrance exam followed by an interview of masters level. One have to score at least 50% at entrance test to qualify for interview. Documents verification was done in the interview session.

The faculty members are extraordinary. Their teaching skills are excellent. They provide remarkable lab facilities. Teaching staffs are exceptionally talented and internationally acclaimed. They guide each student in a proper direction.
