Remarks

College is good. But It should decrease the fee for students.

Entrance Preview

I gave LEET exam and scores AIR 4. It was one of the top option for me at that time. It was also near to my home town and i was getting one of the best branch there.

Internships Opportunities

My internship was in central centric research institute organisation (CSIO). It one of the prestige government R&D centre. Although there was no Stipend,still It was great opportunity for me so i was not worried about the stipend Short term money.

Placement Experience

It was good. I got placed in Samsung R&D. It was one of the good opportunity among other companies. Lots of other companies also visited the campus but i was not selected in them.

College Events

Mudra,Saturnalia was the main cultural and tech festival respectively. There was many more events also happen during my tenure but i forget their names.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is changing year by year. By the time i joined it was 75 K per semester and it keep on increasing. It very expensive for middle men to enter now a days.

Fees and Financial Aid

As for my knowledge their was not scholarship offered for mass as well as intelligent people. It comes under one of the best institute so banks provide Education loan easily but from college side their is no special loan facility.

Campus Life

Gander ratio is 3:10. Postal parties happen regularly. B.Tech students are very active in all competitions like organising debate,societies,awareness campaigns,robotic events etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility was very good. Stall was of friendly nature i enjoyed with them. Mess food was also good for me. In some of the hostels mess food was not healthy.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumani network is very active and college is surviving only because of alumni network. College has very strong alumni in all the companies,So all the companies visit our college for placement.

Exam Structure

Their is semester system and in each semester 2 mis terminal one final exam happens. Along with this so many small quiz,Assignment and Viva happens side by side.

Good campus life with decent academics

Average placements for the college. As for the good stduents and competitive students companies r coming and they get internships and jobs . Companies like Deloitte, Adobe , Playsimple. Scalar AI labs , LG etc .Good Stsrtup and well knowed companies gave placements .

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Internships at LPU

Placement Experience:

I exactly don't know but after 4 th or 5 th students are eligible for internship and placements. Generally in 7th semester 90 percent students grab their internship. Many companies visit on campus placement like Capgemini, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Microsoft and many more. Highest package offered is 64 LPA by Microsoft and lowest was 4 LPA. Almost 90 percent students get placed by 8th semister. I also want to go to a MAANG company after getting my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in computer science so I choose this course to learn programing how the code works in computer. Student ratio is 22 in class. Teacher are well qulified and there teaching method is easy to understand. There two term exam in 6 months and these exam is not difficult

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
