Government College of engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore is one if the most reputed textile colleges all over India. It was established on 1927 by the Britishers. This institution has great educational environment and support the students at various levels.
Course Curriculum Overview
Textile Technology is a very out of the box course and is very necessary which most of the people don't understand enough. There are a total of 8 semesters throughout the course and CGPA is calculated accordingly.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are pretty much up to the mark. Many national and international companies are interested to recruite the students from our college. Our college also gives opportunity for internship with stipend starting from 5000 to 100000.
College Events
There are many cultural as well as educational seminars conducted in our college. The students are highly active in such events and give their very best to make it a grand success. Chief guests like the SP are also invited in it.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible since it is a government college where we only have to pay 3000 for semester tuition fees and 1200 for semester exam fees. There are many tuition fee waiver system available at our college for those who can't afford this much money for education.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many merit cum means scholarship are available at our college which helps the students pay the college fees without any difficulty. The national portal scholarship allows 11000 scholarship for students which is enough for the students to pay for the curriculum.
Campus Life
Extra curriculum activities are also kept in mind of the students. The labs are at great shape and most of the machines are in working conditions. With great technical help from the professors we are able to perform the lab activities with ease. Various sports events are also organised within the college community.

Many alumni and senior students still have contact with the college and their contribution to the college placement is highly appreciated. They understand us better than anyone else and support us whenever we get to any kind of difficulties.
Admission
We had to give an Entrance exam, with the rank we had counseling process and were alloted this college. The counselling is a three stage process where we can upgrade our choices according to our ranks provided.
Faculty
College faculty are all chosen by their outstanding academic performance hence the teachings of the professors are professional and beyond a certain level. Practical works are made to be done by each and every student individually.
