GCETTB responsible for conducting all training & placement related activities of the institute. The integral part of the TPO is a team of student coordinators from all courses of the college who work tirelessly to ensure that top notch opportunities are brought to the students & manages all interactions between the visiting companies and the colleges. It works round the clock to improve the placements and internships scenario of the college. TPO section try to give the best facilities and support possible to the recruiting companies. TPO section is jointly working with other West Bengal govt colleges by conducting on-campus drive and pooled campus drive. Out TPO Students team will always help to the TPO section for arranging the hospitalities, travelling and other facilities provided to the visiting companies. A group of faculty members from various departments are working together for this TPO section. These tremendous effort by students and faculty members, students are achieving their goal.

over the years the OR-CR of this college has improved and in recent years pretty good students are taking admission here. The placement trend in last to last year was fine and most of the students got their placements. Last year, less number of students were placed on-campus. In 2010–2012 more than 10 companies came or conducted pool campus drives (including some product based companies). Since then the placements (at mostly IT-services companies) have been good.

Yes the free structure of GCETTB is very much feasible.As it is a government body.So it is very much feasible.They fee structure is very much within a hands of a poor family. The college aslo have many scholarship facilities for poor students and intelligent students. So they have to respond it.It is very much appreciated.Good jobs can always be appreciable

There was a scholarship programme called seimens scholarship programme where the needed students can get a healthy amount of money to complete their graduation.Also the can get a chance to have a job.

The hostel infrastructure is very good.We have a large amount of bathrooms.We have a playground and also basketball court.There was a magazine gallery also where we can read newspaper and other things

Yes they are very much helpful.In every six months the pass out seniors have come and share us their experience of job or cracking the GATE exam.They are very much helpful.Some has their own way of understanding.

The candidates seeking admission to the UG programmes need to complete their 10+2 from a recognized board, with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subjects.MAKAUT accepts admissions to all the courses offered at its campus, on the basis on the entrance examination conducted by the university. The duration of the examination and the syllabus depends on the course for which the candidate has applied. The entrance examination is an essential part of the admission process for the majority of the courses offered at MAKAUT. The aspirants need to first clear the entrance test and when selected, shall appear for an interview round/group discussion.

Yes they are very experienced. They worked with very good companies and done many projects and GCETTB is an extremely popular engineering institute due to its faculty. Professors at GCETTB have teaching experience ranging from 5-35 years in their respective fields. The teaching methodology is mostly case based and fosters parallel thinking from the engineer's perspective for all the engineering students. Faculty at GCETTB is very approachable, open to feedback and puts in extra efforts to solve student queries.
