College Review

The college is great and everyone on the campus os helpful. The campus is hige and the infrastructure is really good. It motivates you to emjoy studying and the college in no way promotes rote - learning.

The course curriculum is great and has both theoretical and practical approach to a subject. The exam structure consists of a mid semester exams, sessionals and end semester exams. The mid sems are exams of lower marks and duration and lower weightage in overall calculation while the end sems are of 100 marks each and have higher weightage. The sessional include lab evaluations and tests.

The placements are good and the percentage of placement is also very high. The college also provides internship to all the students in the training semester irrespective of the marks and CGPA. Getting a stipend totally depends on the performance in the company you are interning.

A lot of events happen in the college every semester. The main events include FROSH-This is a freshers week only for the newly admitted students. SATURNALIA-The annual techno cultural fest of TIET and is open to all the students of other colleges as well. It is a week ling event. STRATAGEM-The only economic fest of TIET. It is a multi event fest and consists of all types of entrepreneurship, bidding, shares and stocks events.

Expensive but you may get hefty scholarships which would reduce your fees considerably. Apart from that there are a lot of other concessions that the college offers and you can always get them. The scholarships are given yearly.

There are a lot of scholarship offer. If youre an only girl child and have secured good marks then your early fees gets reduced to around 1.25 Lakh. Otherwise top 10%students of every branch are given a scholarship of 1 Lakh or more depending on the branch every year.

Extracurricular activities are great and the laboratories have all the latest equipment and enough so that each student can perform the practicals individually and learn more. The sports are also great. There are huge grounds for every sport and everyone is allowed to play. There is a swimming pool as well.

The hostel infrastructure is great and extremely well built. The rooms are perfectly spaced for the no. of students residing in it. All the amenities have been provided to the students like laundry twice a week, mess facikity, air conditioned rooms, 24 hour electricity.

The alumni network is great and there are frequent meetups with the alumni. The seniors are also great and really helpful. They explain a lot and help in day to day college life. There is absolutely no ragging whatsoever. The seniors treat you with respect if you do too.

I gave the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). I filled the application form of the college. The college released a list of ranks eligible for specific branches and in 3 rounds online only. The alloted me my branch according to the preference I had set in my form. Then there was an in person counselling where hostel allotment and fees payment was to be done. The admission letter was given that day.

The faculty is great and quite interactive. They try to increase your interest in subject and try to engage you more and more in class. They are easily approachable and have quite good knowledge about the subject they are teaching.
