Remarks

The college overall provides a realky good and learning experience to almost each and every student has a lot of good things to be praised of but the most negative thing is politics in student union, teachers union which indirectly affect the students in many ways let it be strikes, rallies and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The whole course is for the duration of 3 years which is divided into 6 semesters half year each. The no. of subjects usually vary from 4 to 5 for each semester out of which 3 subjects are core i.e. compulsory for that course like accounts, management etc rest 1 or 2 are for overall development like evs, communication skills etc. The 10 SGPA is divided into 2 parts 2.5 SGPA is given by teachers on the basis of assignment, tests, attendance whereas the rest 7.5 SGPA depends upon your performance in the semester exams. At the end of each semester exams take place on the basis of which you are awarded a SGPA.

Placement Experience

3

They are not good but not even bad at the end of graduation placement is provided at the annual package of 3.5 lakhs approx. But the no. of students selected are only 50 at max from the whole batch of more than 1000 students so the competition is bit tough and the assurance to get a job is a bit low. Yes the college also provides internships but with the same quality and quantity as that of jobs, they usually provide internships with stipend of 5,000 to 10,000 rupees per month or usually no stipend in startups or in well established companies. My overall experience in the internship was much of learning since it was a startup i wasn't provided with stipend but the working conditions made it quite easy for me to explore and learn some really new things which were quite important for some future jobs.

College Events

4.5

The events in our college are well organized but since the college is always low on funds we have to look for sponsors everytime to make the event a success. Sometimes the college students do pose some difficulties in the event management by doing some indiscipline but the college authorities know really well of how to handle them at that point.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fes structure is really feasible its only 6000 or 7000 per year which almost everyone can afford with facilities like that of private colleges that's why everyone aim of delhi university because here we take admission on the basis of his hard work and knowledge which is reflected in his marks and not in his father's pockets.

Fees and Financial Aid

Nope there are not much, even if there are some which are provided by delhi university but since it's a government college so there's a lot of paperwork to do before getting that scholarship or loan and since the fees is quite low, no one goes for it.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of extracurricular activities in the college, we have different societies for dance, music, debating, entrepreneurship, social service etc. Each society works really well in its own field they do daily practices have a big basket of achievements and even do organise some events. And talking about labs we have a fully air conditioned computer lab, a sports room where almost every sport item is available for students and a fully air conditioned library tooo.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Nope we don't have hostel in our college but the students who are out of delhi usually live in neatby PGs or flats which usually cost a person around 5,000 to 10,000 per month and the facilities vary from pg to pg but they are provided with the basic facilities of bed, fan, study table, elmira, toilet ( usually 1 for 2 people) etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of the college is not that good, the college hardly keeps contact with the alumni and i haven't seen much of them as of now in my college life but the seniors are really really helpful they are ready to help you with everything let it be academics, extracurricular activities, life, personal problems anything, you have a problem they have a solution alwayss.

Admission

Yes, the admission process in this college is same as that of the whole delhi university where you are required to report to the college within 3 days of the release of the du cut off list with your guardian(parent or any other who caretakes you) and a number of documents like 10th marksheet, 12th marksheet and few more and submit those with the college authorities, post that you and your guardian will be called for an interview( for verification of documents which is done by college teachers) and if you clear that you will be given a blue slip where the amount of fees is mentioned which is approximately 7000 rupees and the moment you pay it online, your admission is done.

Faculty

4

The faculty is quite good, teachers are kind enough to help you throughout your semester whenever you need them but there are some thorns which comes with the roses so there are some teachers in the college who are quite strict, arrogant or we can say even rude sometimes but the overall faculty is nice almost all the teachers are well qualified with PG, or PH.D. and have number of achievements, effect of which can be seen in their way of teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the daulat ram course 8/10. One of the main reasons i chose this course was that the syllabus felt balanced between theory and practical understanding..but the only drawback is that sometimes it felt a bit more theory based rather than practical exposure , the exam pattern is consistent mid-sem internals and end-sem finals twice a year. Internals are usually manageable, but end-semester exams depend a lot on the teacher marking style.

Course curriculum is as per Delhi University's official curriculum, so it's pretty good. But its very theoretical as well so if I would suggest an improvement it would be this to make the curriculum more real and practical life based rather than rote learning.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.
