Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is as per Delhi University's official curriculum, so it's pretty good. But its very theoretical as well so if I would suggest an improvement it would be this to make the curriculum more real and practical life based rather than rote learning.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of b com hons course is Rs 34,000 per year which includes all your admission fees, tution fees, etc. There is a slight variation in fees for other categories like obc, sc, st. The fees is slightly increasing every year but not by a huge margin

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very fun. There are a lot of societies in our college and they keep on having some or the other events throughout the week. We also have a sports complex for students who are into sports. Diwali mela and our annual fest manjari are too good.

Admission

I chose DRC over other south campus colleges because firstly it's a really good college in itself and secondly it is in north campus. The vibe of north campus is very good, it really feels like you are the part of the cream crowd.

Faculty

4

Faculty of Daulat ram college is really nice, some of the professors are really cooperative and interactive as well. Faculty to student ratio in our section is 1 professor for 50 students, and it is similar for otherr classes as well.

Night Life

4

Nightlife of north campus is very fun. You get to see students everywhere, hanging out and chilling with their friends, it doesn’t feel boring here anyday, it’s always fun and chilling. Its a very wholesome experience in itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the daulat ram course 8/10. One of the main reasons i chose this course was that the syllabus felt balanced between theory and practical understanding..but the only drawback is that sometimes it felt a bit more theory based rather than practical exposure , the exam pattern is consistent mid-sem internals and end-sem finals twice a year. Internals are usually manageable, but end-semester exams depend a lot on the teacher marking style.

The campus placement is quite good, from 2nd or 3rd year students are eligible. Deloitte visited recently. I'm not aware about this, placements cells are made in college who take care of all this. A good amount of students get place, approx 20 students were placed this tym in Deloitte. I will be continuing with ACCA only.

Placement Experience:

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.
