Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum in terms of the course is extremely relevant just as any other college in entire delhi university. There are practical classes, doubt solving tutorial classes and many more to provide the students a comprehensive on field experience while pursuing the course. I also liked the teaching methods of various faculties as they indulge into that particular topic completely nd teaches it, Exams are conducted 2 times a year, both are end sem exam and as of now what i have seen, it's not that difficult that children would fail drastically or something, even an average student and can score very well in the exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are great internship opportunities in our college!!! All tier A, tier B and tier C companies comes to our college for internship drives. The average stipend is around 10000/- per month. And the average time period of the internship is 3-4 months. And ofc like the placement there's a huge variety of roles offered to tge children.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are pretty much above average in our college, better than many of the off campuses colleges as well as some of the South campuses colleges. * students are eligible for campus placements from the very beginning of their college. From the first year itself. * Companies such as Delloite, Genpact, KPMG and many more tier A, tier B and tier C companies visits to our campus. *Highest Package is 21 laks PA * Average is somewhere around 4-5 lakhs * Being in the placement cell i can assure you that there are n number of profiles offered. * Obviously planning to getting placed through the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees which I pay is between an very affordable range which is 15000 per year. There's no extra fees except the end sen exam reg. Fees which lies somewhere around 1500-2000. This is for general Category students, m not much aware of the other categories. Scholarships are available by the college itself and many university level scholarship are also there, for which proper interview is conducted and the best nd needed person gets the scholarship. The amount of scholarship is equivalent to the principal amount of the tusion fees.

Campus Life

4

Thou the college is famous for its commerce courses, it lacks behind in terms of fest and events. The only fest kind of thing happens is DIVYOTSAV AND TALENTOFAIR. The library is exceptional!!! I prefer going to the library nd study instead of being in my room!!! Fully air conditioned as well as all the books are available in there, even the library staffs are very helpful, if you don't find any book they'll make sure you get that even if for that they have to place an order for the book, they do!. Classrooms are developing! C block has completely changed... It seems like cinema halls nd slowly each and every classroom will turn into the same. This college for sports is a bit dicey! Currently the ground is under construction and a indoor sports stadium is getting build... Only college to have a indoor sports stadium after SRCC. After the construction things may change in terms of sports but as of now there's hardly any scope. Not any students but AARAMBH is an organization which is very active for social groups.

Admission

I personally preferred an evening college compared to the off campus colleges nd somewhere i feel that my descision was correct. In future I'll be preparing for government examinations so for that matter evening timings are better for me as compared to morning. According to the scores which i got, this is the best college I could get and m very much happy about it. Being in the evening shift i made freinds from the morning shifts as well and at the end i realized that it's all same. Admission in Delhi University is purely merit based of CUET. It is a computer based test and i got admission in shaheed bhagat singh evening college at a score of 680.the cut offs are soaring year by year all i can say is best of luck for your attempt.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is somewhere around 1:60. Must say that the faculties do maintain an excellent relationship with the students, and are easily approachable whenever one requires their help. Must say that the faculty is far more better than many morning colleges in the entire delhi university. My freinds are there in morning sbsc nd they told us that the relationship between faculty and student is almost jl jayegi.

Night Life

4

As you will be coming to a evening college, most of your experiences would be in the night only. However the area around the college is extremely safe... Girls can move around safely late night. The college doesn't has its own gym. However the library is worth to be!!! Fully air conditioned with n number of books and of course with study tables and chairs. The library hours are from 9:00AM to 8:00PM.College has its canteen and as well as a cafeteria where you can get every snacks and meal at a very reasonable rates. Inside the college the famous hangout place is near cafeteria and outside it's the OG "Authority". The only phrase which is favorite of all sbsc grads is.... " Chal authority chalte hai ".

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
