NEET is one of the major entrance exams that candidates need to clear to become a doctor. There are several other bifurcations amongst doctors or Types of Doctors who can take up the career without appearing for the NEET exam. Some of these specializations are Pharma, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Radiography, and Biomedical Engineering. Courses to Become a Doctor without NEET

B.Sc Nursing: B.Sc Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate degree course, focussing on the development of skills in critical care and also helps in providing the knowledge of nurses and midwives, along with a 6-month mandatory internship. Admissions to these colleges are done on the basis of entrance exams. There are several colleges such as AIIMS or PGIMER conduct their own entrance exams. State-wise entrance exams are also conducted for applying to several universities in that particular state. In order to be eligible for the program, candidates need to fulfil certain eligibility requirements such as candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations in the science stream with Biology as one of the main subjects. Apart from that, candidates need to register themselves with the State Nurses Registration Council as Registered Nurses.
  2. B.Sc Psychology: B.Sc in Psychology is a 3-year undergraduate program that focuses on studying the mind, emotions, and social development of a human being. This course helps in understanding and resolving therapies and other various procedures about mental illness, crisis management, and human behaviour. In order to pursue the program, candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% or above. After completion of the course, candidates can pursue a master’s degree in order to become a psychologist and other relevant certification courses. Admission to this course can be done on the basis of entrance exams such as NPAT, CUET, and SUAT.

B.Sc Cardiovascular Technology: B.Sc in cardiovascular technology is a 3-year undergraduate program that helps the candidate in acquiring knowledge about diagnosing and monitoring diseases that are heart-related. Through this program, candidates will learn about performing stent implants and setting cardiac pacemakers, and defibrillators. In order to pursue this program, candidates must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board in Science Stream with Biology as one of the main subjects. In order to get into a top College, candidates need to clear the entrance exam such as SUAT, APEAMCET, JET, and NPAT. This course has the following subjects Human Anatomy, Anatomy of Cardiovascular, Pathology, EchoCardiography, Pharmacology. 
  4. BPT: BPT, Bachelor of Physiotherapy course deals with treating the body by using physical pressure such as heat, pressure and electricity. These doctors do not prescribe drugs in their medication process. The duration of the course is 4 years with a 6-month mandatory internship. In this program, candidates will get knowledge about anatomy, nursing, biochemistry, first aid, physiotherapy, electrotherapy, etc. In order to pursue the program, candidates must have 10+ 2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. To pursue this program, candidates need to appear for the entrance exam such as DUET, CUCET, CUET, etc. Candidates can choose their area of specialization according to their interests by pursuing a Master’s degree such as M.Sc in Physiotherapy, and MBA. 
  5. B. Pharma: Bachelor of Pharma is a 4-year undergraduate program that deals with the knowledge of Biomedical science. This course also deals with the production and manufacture of drugs. Some of the subjects taught in this course are Biochemistry, Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Computer Applications. In order to pursue this program, candidates need to pass class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50% or above from a recognized board. Candidates must have completed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology as one of the main subjects. To get into top pharmacy colleges in India, candidates need to appear for the entrance exam such as UPSEE, GPAT, BITSAT and MHT-CET.
  6. B.Sc Biotechnology: B.Sc Biotechnology is a 3-year undergraduate program. This course is a combination of biology, chemistry, and mathematics. The course helps in understanding biochemistry, genetics, and molecules which are useful in the field of natural science. Due to growth in genetic engineering, the demand for Biotechnology has also shown considerable growth. In order to be eligible for the program, candidates must have completed class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50% with Biotech as one of the main subjects.
