- Teaching system is good and extra curicullam like aptitude and gate course is good.
- Placement is average. If any student has capability then he can get more than 3 placement.

- Attendance system is very bad and daily 9 to 4.10 class very bad.
- Put extra pressure in student is very bad. Extra task are given to student.
- There is no break between classes that's why its very difficult for students.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semesrer students are eligble for campus placement. Deloit, infosys, wipro, Tcs digital, Tcs Prime, Tcs NINJA, PWS etc company. Highest package is approx 27 lpa and average is 5 lpa and lowest is 3.5 lpa.

- The laboratories are well managed and equipped by the lab assistants and teachers.
- The affordability of the college at this price is very good.
- Placement is likely to be active in this college. The students are getting good placements in tech companies.

- The campus of this college is quite small.
- The hostel is not under the campus and it is very small compared to other colleges.
Placement Experience:
Placement to Job related to software developments or any other computer based engineering is very high but for core branches the placement rate is low but employability is high. As after Btech many chose to do MBA or mtech and get high paid jobs after the colllege. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, etc. reaches to IEM for taking students. Last year 87% got placed in overall branches which is better than other colleges at this rate. My plan after getting degree is to further study and get high paid jobs in other big companies.

- Many things were just for show off purpose.
- Fees were too much. A student must belong from high class family or should take a loan and study here.
Placement Experience:
You will be getting placement offers from the 7th sem. Tcs, Wipro, Cognizant, Pwc, Jio, Accenture, and IBM are very common in campus placements. The average package is around 5LPA. I'm working right now. I did not get any placement on campus. Had to opt for aff campusing placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:
As a petrolhead, I have always wanted to study mechanical engineering. The faculty was extremely helpful and professional throughout the duration of the course. Our qualified professors were more than enough to help us explore all the ideas we came up with.

Placement Experience:
One of best thing about my college is placement offers. It's have the best one , my college is also famous for placement only. Many MAC's companies visited like TCS, CTS, Wipro, PWC, Infosys, Mindtree etc. About all of the students gets atleast one PPO.

I have an interest in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING so I have chosen this course. Faculties are highly qualified and most of the teachers had done Ph.D. in their respective engineering departments.
Term exams are not difficult at all, so don't be scared.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose Mecahnical Engineering simply because of my love for this subject.Unlike others I hate coding and love those subjects which require visualisation and can help me to use my text book applications in real life.
Student to faculty ratio is around 1:60
Most of the faculty members are M.Tech/PHD/MCA.Only a handful of them teach really good , like 1 out of 10 of them. They teach in a long hall which makes it difficult for the back benchers to see the backboard.
Term exams are held 6 months. 1st semester is divided into mid-sem and end-sem. Further midsem is divided into midsem1 and midsem2. Similarly all the semsters for the rest of the duration of four years of the course are divied into two parts.
The midsem exams are of 40 marks and the end sem exams are of 80 marks.
The difficulty of the paper completely depends on the student as almost all the concepts and questions are thourouhly done in classes and included in class notes most of the time

Students of our mechanical department become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester.
Companies visiting our college during the campus placements are Wipro, HAL, HP, HCL,TCS Digital, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, ADOBE, FLIPKART, AMAZON ,ZOMATO ,etc.
The highest package offered is 21 lakhs oer annum and the lowest package offered is 4.3 lakhs per annum.
The placement rate is really good in IEM. About 85 to 95% of the students gets placed through the campus placements.

Placement Experience:
7th semester is the ideal time from when the students can sit for the campus placement. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Adobe, TCS, Wipro, Infosys and many other reputed companies visit every year to recruit students from our campus. The highest package recorded is 36lpa and the average package ranges between 4-5lpa. The number of offers is between 1-2 for the majority of them. The record of students getting placed is 95% and above that which is quite good. I am looking for higher studies after completing the degree and then for some government job.

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:
- It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
- The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
- UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
- The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
- UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.
These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.
