The first thing that I like about my college was being the part of dance societies like urban hopper crew and Bhangra knights.
The second thing that I like about my college, you don't have to visit any other place after bunking classes, you can roam in college itself as the area of my college is very broad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason behind persuing bachelor's in journalism and mass communication was that I am very bad in Maths, so I can't take BBA, so I've opted for journalism and mass communication. The main motive of taking admission in a regular was to live college life at the end.

MAIMS- A college to consider

Likes

The thing I liked most about our university was its practical exposure. We used to go on visits to various news channels and publication agencies and understand how things happen in the real world.
Faculty was amazing, there was no pressure from the faculty, Professors were understanding and supportive. It never felt like we were studying, it was always an amazing an fun environment.
There was a photography lab, with great equipments and there was also a master control room like in news channels that helped us in understanding how a news agency works and It also had state of the art equipments.

Dislikes

While the time, I was at the college the canteen facilities were not up to the mark.
Our college had a basketball court which was half of the time non-operational.
Fees, I felt was a little on the higher side.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course a 9 out of 10 as the teachings here also had a practical approach to it, and the exams were also held at a reasonable gap of time. That gave us ample amount of time to prepare and the difficulty level was also decided based upon the teaching of the subject.

College placement is not that great just like any other college but comparatively, companies do come here Students in the 3rd and 6th semesters are eligible for the placement The highest package has gone to 12-13 lakh per annum. 40-50% of students have been placed I would like to have experience in the desired field first

Cource curriculum was not that upto mark as it was outdated we need more practical exposure but it was limited. But whole IPU follows same curriculum Faculties were okayish and exams were not that difficult to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I have an interest in this. The faculty is very nice and most teachers are Ph.D. and they also have field experience other than this they also have teaching experience of over 5 years. They teach so well. If we talk about a particular semester then there are two term exams and they are not that difficult to pass.

This course asks you to do atleast one summer training/internship every year. Teachers help a lot in finding internships and provide us with many opportunities. Placement after graduation is also very good.

Yes, the college provides placement. Every course has its placement cell. At the end of your course, the company comes for the placement. The Highest package that the student got is 28 lakh per annum and the average package is 3 lakh per annum. The placements are very average like most colleges do. Most of the students getting placements have a percentage like 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to wait for a while and study for TOEFL and IEFT while also learning French and animation.

college - I was getting the best college of the university by my entrance score. And honestly, this was the best option i got. course- can't really say why. I took science in 10+2 but i felt journalism is for me.

Remarks:

It is one of the best college for Journalism & Mass communication course affiliated to IP University , as in DU you only get Journalism but not mass comunication , and that too in very less colleges. IP university provides mostly professional & technical courses unlike DU. So, its obvious to go to IP university for such professional course and this college is ranked 2nd for Journalism & mass communication. And one more important reason for this college is that it is situated in Delhi and Delhi has max media houses , so its easy to get internships while studying which gives you the practical experience in the field.

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (MAIMS) is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and is considered to be amongst the top 10 institutes to pursue BBA.
