Likes

The first thing that I like about my college was being the part of dance societies like urban hopper crew and Bhangra knights.
The second thing that I like about my college, you don't have to visit any other place after bunking classes, you can roam in college itself as the area of my college is very broad.

Course Curriculum Overview

The reason behind persuing bachelor's in journalism and mass communication was that I am very bad in Maths, so I can't take BBA, so I've opted for journalism and mass communication. The main motive of taking admission in a regular was to live college life at the end.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My course's fees was 1.5 lakhs per year and in total like for all the three year, it was something like 3.5 lakh in total. The fees of most of the courses was quite same. But I remember the fees of the courses, BA LLB, it was something like 85 thousand per year. It was quite cheaper than other courses.

Campus Life

So in my college, when I was a student, the only fest that was done was Chhayankan, it was organised by our college's photography society. The highlight of that fest was attending the Inder Chahal concert. It was a great experience. We had made some great memories.

Admission

So for journalism and mass communication, I've opted three colleges, first was Vivekananda institute of professional studies, second was Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, and last was Fairfield institute of management studies. I've choosed Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies because it was near my house.

Faculty

The faculty of my college was quite impressive and kind of cool i think. Especially, shifali Ahuja mam. But the hoax they made at the time of internals, that we will not give permission to students who's attendence is less 75%, they were not able to give exams.

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

College is such an exciting time in life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course sounds very interesting and covers a large spectrum of topics. There are a total of 60 students in the class of 2024, which is further divided into two sections of 30 students each. The faculty is very well read and the classes are interactive. We have frequent debates and discussions on some very interesting topics. The exams are held semester wise every 4-5 months. The difficulty level is not much when it comes to passing the examinations.

Placement Experience:

The placement is fine in college. It is not a bulk campus placement like in most of the engineering colleges but it is pretty decent. The one who is smart and confident enough gets it. Companies provide a decent pakage to the ones who get placed.

Disappinting experience at Maims

We have to fill online form on Ip university site.Then we need to appear for entrance exam like cat,mat,cmat.If we meet the cutoff set by university then we take admission here which is under 5000 rank.Then there is a personal interview with the admission panel.After that they verify documents and academic records then gives admission.Reserved categories have less cutoff for admission.Some aspects can be improved regarding admission:- 1. transperancy-there should be more clarity about cut off scores and selection criteria 2.communication-they should communicate better regarding college schedule and requirements 3.support-they should show more support in addressing queries and admission requirement 4.less documentation-they should ask for less documents and streamline process for all courses...Read More
