Course Curriculum Overview

4

Video editing and photography influenced me a lot to choose this course i really love editing videos and making content also this course helped me to speak more to people and become less socially awkward guy because I was so introverted and has social anxiety but this course and college helped me a bit to overcome that. This is mainly because of the assignments and tasks we had during our 1st year 3rd sem it helped a lot, making videos, interviewing people etc. Real world interaction assignments helps in interaction and understanding your work for real world experience. They need to fix and improve teaching style tho and sometimes they teach very fast completing everything in a month or two.

Internships Opportunities

3

Im still a 2nd year so I actually don't know about it very much but our teachers said there will be internships during 5th semester. There are also paid interships you can get based on your work and all.

Placement Experience

3

From the 5th semester of mostly every course students become eligible for the internships inside the college and also outside the college, Companies like Google, microsoft,. amazon have visited our college. highest average package is about 25 -50 lakhs I haven't planned anything after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

This year I'll be paying ?1,61,000 for this course i.e Ba of Journalism and mass communication which is ?80,500 per semester. The tuition fees of one semester is 70500 which also includes registration fees i.e ?5000, admission fees i.e ?5000. you'll have to pay extra on your first fee payment which will include Library fees and security fees in that.

Campus Life

4

The campus is really really good of my college. it is massive with good canteens over the college and the campus is full of greenery there are so many trees and grounds you can sit around and walk. There are few annual events that takes place and one if the major one is Sports week its for the whole college where students from all the courses participate and go against each other in different sports. then there are basic music event not very cool or big but yes fun to attend very casual Our library is very big there are a lot and lot of books you can search for them in the computers and then it will show you do we have them or not. there are plenty of clubs made by the students you can join

Admission

I applied to some other colleges also like Amity in Lucknow, University of Delhi and sharda too and I also got a letter from amity but it was very far compared to Hamdard in Delhi. when my name was listed in list of Jamia hamdard my parents thought it would be better for me to go Hamdard because of the environment so that's why I choose Hamard I did got rejected by other colleges because I was very late to respond to their mails Admission process is quite easy you first have to fill the form online on the site of Jamia hamdard within the given time period of whichever courses you like and then pay the form fees then you'll to wait for your name in the list of that particular course which the college releases time to time

Faculty

4

The faculty members are important in molding the overall educational experience offered through the course Bajmc. The faculty to student ratio is actually quite good faculty provides personal attention to the students and you can ask them anything if you have problems even after the classes. They are good when you are paying attention and you are being a good student. Faculty is easily approachable leaving the lunch time lol. There are exams in semester wise order one semester is of 5-6 months including exam period. Exams are not that hard you can pass easily if you have studied even just 2.days before the exam failing rate is low in this course.

Night Life

4

Night life is actually the best because we have a good sports complex at night students sit there talk and okay together there. Girls hostel closes at 10pm and a bit early during winters but any student living close by can enter college at night till 12 am easily. the most loved hangout spot is Central library it's a huge round hall where students sit and talk there are plenty cafeterias you can go to throughout the college

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

Reviewed on Mar 14, 2025(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.
