Jamia Hamdard - A place for studious stidents.

M. Pharm Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a course with huge respect. Not everyone is interested in Chemistry. It does have a great scope. Academics, Industry, Research. There's so much to do after pursuing Masters. It is completed in 4 semesters. The first year is theoretical while the second year is research work.

Not many companies offer internships whether paid or unpaid. But Hamdard is a big name and it's a brand in itself. If you go to any organization, this name with surely help you get recognized among others.

The placement company visits start from the third sem. There's a separate placement cell called PlaceCom, responsible for placement activities. They make sure all students get the opportunity. In my session companies like Xogene, Apothecaries, Minimalist, etc visited. Mostly clinical research companies offer the placement. They hire just one student per company. The average package is 5 LPA. It is not an excellent choice for placements.

The course fee is 100000 per semester and 5000 as a semester fee. The overall cost can sum up to more than 4L. It is higher as compared to other colleges like DIPSAR but also the level of research is appreciable. Scholarships are also available to needy students which are mentioned in the brochure. They also provide placements but the opportunities are not that much.

All the students of any stream are free to participate in any event organized by any department. The details are shared via social media. Ghazal nights, fairs, conferences, sports events, etc. are very common. The library is easily accessible.

Anyone with a B. Pharm degree can pursue this course. The application form and the whole admission process are online. The GPAT-qualified students are preferred for admissions for others there's little chance. The admission process is smooth and also they provide faculty contact numbers to directly contact them after you are shortlisted, through the mail.

The number of faculty members is as per the PCI norms. They are highly educated with an exceptional educational background, many faculty members are alumni of Hamdard. Every faculty holds at least a PhD degree with good work experience. They are eager to impart knowledge to their students and are open to discussions.
