Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was attracted by the ambience of the college as I comes from a middle class family and a first daughter of my parents a got a opportunity to come to delhi and study in a muslim university. This is all i dreamt off. There must be a proper and scheduled classes Time table be followed. so many classes were cancelled everydays without a proper issue. Semester Exams are very unoredictable, it might get stared anytime of the year. Sometimes the gap between two semester is 3-4 months sometimes 7-8 months.

Internships Opportunities

1

The college probably offers placement and interships in Cognizent, HCL, ACCENTURE, e.t.c. Basically the palcements are offers because of the projects done by the individual. Like I have made so many projects, some of them are mention below- a- Voice assistent while cooking. b- Hand gesture game controller.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible from the 6 semester for the placement but many of them could not make it because of the less seriouness among the student for the placement as the placement rate is very low in the college so many of the average students already gets demotivated which also plays a cruicial role in there failure. The highest ever paking which I have heard is of 20 lakhs which is givin through college placement. Average salary is in between 3-4 lakhs per annum. only 10% of students gets college placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay an amount of 1,15,000 ruppees per semester that means an amount of 2,30,000 ruppees per year. Every semester the examination fees is 5000 ruppees and one time caution fees is 15,000 which was submitted at the time of addmission. Some of my bachmates were getting scholarships given by the criteria of the university which helps them financials. The criteria of scholarships are above 80% of percentage per semester and no backlogs or supplementry exams.

Campus Life

4

Typically the fests or the programs are organised either in winter or in spring season. Sometimes the programs are for knowledge but most of the time the college introduces fests like concerts or stage shows. Projectors are fixed in all air conditioner classrooms. Sports are mostly played like footballs and cricket but there are many available games in sport complex like tennis, badminnton, and pool. Social groups are run by seniors like TECHNOZS, HACKALB, e.t.c.

Admission

I always wonder to study in Jamia Millia Islamia as my mother it is my mother's dream to study there but because of very strict addmision process only best of best students got the opportunity to study there. After that my admission got conformed at Lovely Professional Institute, Jalandhar. But my love for delhi brings me in this city and I got addmited to Jamia Hamdard and now I thank the god for giving me the chances to get educated from this deemed to be university. The college gives admission on the behalf of the performance in JEE/NEET/CUET percentage.

Faculty

4

Eventually the faculty to student ratio depends upon the course which means if we discuss about the engineering courses there must be one teacher for approximatly 50 students where as in other departments like medicals or laws this ratios is far more largers. As per my experience the new faculties are far more approachable then the seniors and the senior teachers are very rude. Personally my most favourite teacher among all in Jamia Hamdard is Dr. Rehan Saeed Sir and Saoud Sarwar Sir. Both of them are senior and extremely polite even though even in our fault they always tried to talk to us without blamming or judging. I didn't like a staff member in electronic lab, he might pe a peon but he is very creepy, he talk strange and he was very strange. According to my course there are 8 semesters, 2 semesters per year(Even, Odd).

Night Life

4

Gym are open at late night but library and cafeteria closes after 8. Hostel timing is just for girls but boys hostels are open 24/7. The best places for hanging out in college is Classic Cafe, Cozy Canteen and Pharmacy Canteen. But the security here inside the college is very secure. Even the guard are alloted at night shift.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 6th semester onwards. The average package is around 20 LPA and the highest package is 85 LPA. The placements percentage for top branches is around 80% and many big companies like Amazon, Uber, Google, Microsoft, etc. offer placements. After my degree I plan on securing a placement on the tech field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as **fairly comprehensive and reasonably relevant**, especially in terms of building a strong foundation in core engineering concepts. One of the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course was the **structured curriculum covering important fundamentals such as programming, data structures, mathematics, and core engineering subjects**, which are essential for both technical roles and higher studies. The curriculum provides a solid theoretical base and helps develop analytical thinking, but for real-world applications students often need to complement it with **projects, internships, coding practice, and self-learning**, since some topics are still taught in a more traditional or theoretical way. In terms of improvements, the curriculum could benefit from **more industry-oriented electives, practical assignments, updated lab work, and interactive teaching methods such as case studies or project-based learning**. The exam system typically includes **two major exams per semester — a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam — along with internal assessments, quizzes, and assignments**. The exams are generally **moderate in difficulty**, and students who attend classes and prepare consistently are able to perform well, though the evaluation tends to focus more on conceptual understanding and written exams rather than purely practical skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked physics and applications of physics so chose mechanical engineering, as ut has a lot of application of physics directly can really see how things work not just ideally but actually Curriculum is really good besides getting assignments which noone takes seriously everyone just copies , there must be much more practical stuff so that everyone learns but we do get that in tech teams but not directly as a student in college. There must be practical teachings and proper guidance proper high level machineary must be there, industry visits must be there and internships in such companies must be encouraged There are 5 exams of 1.5 hour considered as mid sems and 6 exams of 3 hours considered as endsems

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
