Course Curriculum Overview

4

Areas of improvement = Placements services and right guidance to the students. Timings of exam was 3 hours and difficulty level was moderate. My curriculum prepared me good, provied the knowledge for real - world applications or further academic pursuits. I have chosen this course because I wanted to get knowledge about Information technology and computer related things.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees of my university was Rs 1 lac 10 thousands for BCA course. I have paid Rs 15000 at the time of admission along with ist semester fees which was Rs 55000. So, In total I have paid Rs 70,000 first time. My total fees that I have paid in 3 years was Rs 3,45,000. Form Registration fees was Rs 1500 for applying for admission. Addmission Fees = Rs 15,000 Per semester fees = Rs 50,000 + 5,000 Examination fees. The fees was same for all my classmates of all category. No scholarship was provided to me and my friends.

Campus Life

4

The books were available in the liberary and we could access that easily. The facilities and technological provisions within the classrooms were good. There were so many activities of sports and extra curriculum offered on campus like football, basketball, singing, dancing, speech,Nukkar Natak, Shayri shows and many more. There were many groups of students run and club like echo club etc.

Admission

I have applied to Delhi University and jamia milia islamia but i have chosen jamia hamdard university over other colleges because i liked this college and always wanted to study in this college. Admission process of my college was based on merit and interview. Eligibility was very simple if someone wants to apply for BCA course then they should have computer science , Maths or belongs to science stream along with 70-80% of marks in 10+2.

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio was 3:7. The faculty to student relationship was nice. And they are very approachable. Right now i dont remember the name of the faculty but there were 3-4 faculty that were really good and every student liked them. I have 6 semesters So, Exams were held every semester and also two sessional test were there per semester. The exam was sometimes easy ,moderate or rarely difficult.

Night Life

4

Actually i didn't live in the hostel . I used to travel daily to my campus as i live in delhi. But many of my classmates and friends were lived in the hostel and pgs and they had nice experience with that. Hangout places were gardens, canteen and cafes which was inside the campus . And it was totally safe to roam round inside and outside and i can't say about nights but my friends had experience so they found safe to roam inside and outside of the campus at night.

Acharya Narendra Dev College - [ANDC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Biomedical Sciences)
Reviewed on Mar 3, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.

The highest package of my college is 36 lakh per annum from bcom H programme. The placement is very nice from my collegem the average package is 6.7 lakh per annum and the median package is around 8 lakh per annum which is very good in my views. But if the students is not focusing in his academic then no college can give him placement, it's just a exception. The students become elegible for placements after 2nd year and before 3rd year basically they just got PPO that is preplacement offer. Bain & co. , de shaw , Accenture , oyo, Swiggy.
