Likes

The only thing I like in my college is the faculty.
Apart from the faculty nothing is as praised in my college

Dislikes

The infrastructure of my college is very old and it is not appealing and does not invite people.
The campus is very small and less space for classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In order of relevance and comprehensiveness I would rate my course a rather 7. I particularly chose is course because humanities is my area of interest, but I am not very much happy with the curriculum because it includes vast history which I was not prepared for. The teaching methods main include pictorial descriptions because as an history student it is very difficult to read and understand through texts. The exams occur in every 6 to 7 months.

Pros and cons of college

Likes

I like my auditorium as it provides all the necessary facilities and also is very big in which a lot of events happen.
Our canteen is also very big with a lot of things in the menu.
My political science department is also very good the professors are very nice and the education quality is also good

Dislikes

Apart from the college canteen being big in size it is not very affordable for students.
For the fees I think there should be aur conditioned classes that is a drawback
Our college's size is also a bit small and there is not college ground

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have presentations and debates which makes us understand a topic more deeply and also have class tests which keeps us in check with the type of questions that could be asked in the exams. Some SEC and VAC courses I think are not relevant in the real world but some are important and which are irrelevant just adds pressure on students.

The faculty is nice. The teachers are very helpful. Concepts are very easily explained by the teachers

The campus is small and very little space to sit.

I chose b.com(Hons) as I always wanted to go for a degree in commerce fields only as I have interest in finance domain, the Hons course is helping me study such subjects and get more knowledge about the same

Quite good

Likes

Sports like ncc and Kho Kho and there are many sports in which trainings are on the regular basis
Academic goals as they provides both theoretical and practical skills which enhances the communication skills and knowledge.

Dislikes

As it is public university so ground is very small and hostel facilities are still not there as it will take some time
Regarding infrastructure as it is public university

I want to study ba history honours and I get it in mata Sundari college for women where academic studies are in priority and this course will help in preparing civil service exam so it is good for me. With theoretical knowledge they also provide to do on regular basis for example if we have to remember the names of sites around the world they say to mark the names of the sites in the world map and will have discussions in the class.

Good college though

Likes

I liked my college crowd fests and involvement in many fields .
The education department is nice . And they support the students .
They provides langar more likely . As this is a Sikh college .

Dislikes

The college infrastructure is not so good .
There is no use of gym and cretch area..
Societies students don't get attendance easily . Though they are winning for the college only

I got this course . Though this course was not my first preference. But I opt it because of du university. Overall The diversity of historical perspectives offered, allowing students to explore both Indian and global histories. The inclusion of historiographical debates and primary source analysis, which are crucial for developing critical thinking skills.

COLLEGE LIFE IN SHORT

Likes

Comfort and care around staff members and batchmates
Academically an Amazing campus showcasing the talents of students

Dislikes

The campus size is really small and absolutely no area to roam around

The NEP sure had its pros and cons but considering our curriculum and the fact that it is a standardized curriculum throughout DU, is a great thing, and that the same curriculum is also a part of what we have to learn for UPSC. So it does help

The societies which offered by college are also very good and cooperative All kind pf societies are there ranging from ncc , nss to debating , dance and all
Academically the college is perfect as the faculty is very much cooperative and have very kind amd warming behabiour tpwrds the students
Safety : being in a girls college , the college is very much safe place and the area around is also very calm and safe

Dislikes

Infrastructure : The infrastructure is not top notch some kind of disparity we cam see here like the campus is not that mucb big like the other du colleges
Garden : The college did'nt have garden which i mostly miss as the place where we can chill
Canteen : the prive of the canteen food is not that much affordable

People who want to pursue towards the competitive examination for that this course will be the great decission Curicullum teach you about the on going politics and party system Improvement can be done on more practical exposure

Overall the college is good

Likes

It has a great auditorium and also the staff admin is really good in communication.
The canteen food is also very affordable and includes everything, so no need to go outside the college for food.
The hygiene is also well maintained, The washroom are cleaned on regular basis

Dislikes

The thing i disliked is crowed of the college.
There are only 2 lifts in the college campus.
The rooms are Non Ac which makes the college very humidity

The placements of the college are also really good . like most of the students prefer only to graduate and for further studies they prefere going to private universities or abroad . But if someone stays in Du for the placement she can get an average package of 3-4 lakhs and highest package of 9-10 lakhs

Well political science was my 2nd priority course. Am planning to pursue UPSC CSE so political science is a good course for that. It teaches you a lot about what’s actually happening in the country and what’s the reason behind it. It’s actually fun if you’ve studied it since the beginning and paid attention. Both Indian and world polity has been included and it’s fun.

Most of the time the professor does not come to class we have to prepare for our exams on our own without the conpletion of most of the syllabus. There should be improvement in teaching methods by providing notes and completing the syllabus before hand.
