IEM Kolkata MBA : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The MBA program at the Institute of Engineering and Management is structured into three sections of 100 students each in the first semester, with each subject taught by two teachers. The program features distinguished faculty members including Saugata, Dr. Kaushik Ganguly, and Arka Mukhopadhyay, who is also the placement coordinator. Students are required to maintain a 75% attendance rate, monitored by a biometric system, with strict consequences for non-compliance. Each semester includes two midterm exams and one end-semester exam, focusing on classroom teachings.

Placement preparation begins in the third semester, involving group discussions and interviews. The total fee for the two-year program is 330,000 INR, with 133,000 INR charged per semester and additional costs for books and uniforms. Students receive an iPad in the first semester. Placement opportunities are robust, especially in Sales, Finance, and IT, with recruiters like PWC, EY, ITC, TCS, and Cognizant. The program offers two internship opportunities: a Winter Internship Program with stipends of 3,000-5,000 INR per month, and a Summer Internship Program with significant stipends.

Some students secure external internships, such as with the State Bank of India for 8,000 INR monthly. In the third semester, a 7-day Study Abroad Program in Singapore is available, requiring a 1,00,000 INR refundable deposit.
