Course Description

Aspirants looking for admission in the Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training are required to apply through online mode. Candidates will also have to appear for HIMT Online Entrance Test, for admission to the Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training.

Steps to apply:

Fill up the academic qualifications and other information.
Select the mode of payment which can be either online through Net Banking/Credit or Debit Card or can be offline through Demand Draft.
For online mode, select your bank and you will be redirected to bank site.
Pay the fees and you will receive automated email or SMS of confirmation.
Candidate can also pay the fees by Demand Draft in favour of "HIMT COLLEGE" payable at Chennai.
Mention Online Application Number, candidate Name, Contact Number, Course Name on the reverse side of draft.
The application form should reach on or before the deadline at the office by 04:00 pm.
Send the demand draft which must reach within 48 hours of online application to the college.

HIMT Chennai Certificate Programs Eligibility Criteria

ETO- PCM and English as a separate subject and minimum 50% marks in English in 10th and 12th standard both

OCCP- Candidates must have passed class X or XII from a recognized board with 40% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in English at 10th and 12th standard.

Degree or Diploma Certificate in Hospitality and Hotel Administration or Hotel Management and Catering Technology, or Catering, Culinary Arts or Hospitality and Tourism of a minimum six-month duration.

Selection Criteria

Admission will be granted on the basis of HIMT Online Entrance Test (HIMT OET) scores, Psychometric Test, Medical examination, Panel Interview, and Pre-Sea Training.

Review about martime training college

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee is 180000, which includes lodging, food, and clothing. The fee of our college compared to other maritime institutes is less. In my opinion, the fee for a 6 month GP rating course is too high. There are no scholarships available for merchant navy courses, and job opportunities are limited.
