PGIMER Chandigarh conducts admissions twice a year, in January and July. Admission to PG and Super Specialty courses is based on INI CET and INI-SS scores, followed by counseling. For other courses, PGIMER holds its own Entrance exam, with a personal interview required in select cases.

PGIMER Application Process

Here are the steps to apply at PGIMER Chandigarh Admission for MS/MD Course.

To get admission in MD or MS programs at PGIMER Chandigarh, Candidates must first appear for the INI-CET entrance exam conducted by AIIMS New Delhi.
The application form for the exam can be filled out online through the official INI-CET website.

I had appeared for neet. But as a average student i couldn't make it to be a doctor insted i cracked pgi chandigarh nsc nursing entrance. Pgi chandigarh is very affordable. It provide job as bond is signed during admission, hostel is provided, everything is very affordable here, we have to pay for uniform and that is one time investment. Pgi conduct exam for admission. Pgi chandigarh bsc nursing entrance is the name of exam, it's basically conducted in month of june or july and it is conducted in 4-5 state of north india, it is for females only. Merit list will ne released after the result and student who get their name in list can apply for counseling. Currently there are 89 seats in bsc nursing for 2024 but from 2025 seats will be increased and they will be 128 . Exam is of moderate level. It comprises of biology 20 question. Physics 20 question. Chemistry 20 question. English 20 question. Nursing aptitude 20 question. Paper is conducted in online mode Exam is of 2 hours and 100 questions will be there and +1 for a correct answer and -0. 25 for a wrong answer. There are no boys in bsc nursing course . They take us to the hospital from first semester only so the hospital experience is very good and we can learn so much.
Teachers are very very good supportive also very resourceful .smarts boards are available and teachers have presentations with them..class have mics so that the voice is audible to every student which was installed this year only.
The campus is very nice ..canteen available . washrooms are always clean and also hostel facility is very good .

Dislikes

80%attendace is compulsory in classes and 100%in clinicals if attendance is short in class they donot allow to sit in exam.also if attendance is short in clinicals they will not give you leave on holidays & have to work overtime &complete our hours
Attendance in each class ...no proxy is allowed strict actions taken if found ..
College timing are very very long from 8:30 to 5 regular classes with minimal break ie break of half hour from 10:30 to 11 and 1-2 only.

Admission:

There are 93seats in pgimer chandigarh .we have to clear entrance exam t get admission here.. competition is quite high .cut off for general category goes above 99 percentile.for other categories too cutoff is 95percentile and above.

Besides studies all the festivals are celebrated with a great joy. The university is very beautiful built and its has great views with a number of planatations.
There are seminars going all around the year. Many national and international deligates often visit the college. It makes learning more easy and interesting.
The college is situated in the pgimer campus which is one of the best tertiary care hospital in india and it provides great clinical exposures with all types of cases from simple to complex . We get posted in various departments during our graduation

Admission:

The application forms are usually available from the month of June. The test is in the last week of July or the first week of August. The test is computer based comprising 100 questions and for 100 minutes. Its MCQ based. There are 25 questions for physics, chemistry, and biology each and 15 questions for mental ability and general knowledge, and 10 questions for English.

No, I don't think excellent medical colleges like AIIMS, PGIMER, and JIPMER are in any way overrated. They deserve the hype they receive. The patients consider JIPMER doctors as the human form of God. They trust them blindly and also respect them a lot.

Apart from the highly experienced and educated doctors, JIPMER has some amazing facilities. Most of the departments are well-established with highly qualified doctors. The best department of JIPMER is said to be Pediatrics with the best doctor pool.

As far as academics are concerned, the UG curriculum is well-organized. The students are taken to clinics regularly and are confident about their basic clinical skills. The best past us exposure to all sorts of cases from Male breast cancer to life-threatening emergencies and all kinds of surgeries and non-surgical cases. Recently JIPMER has started focusing on specialized surgeries in the Super Speciality departments.

The campus life is great and the hostel facilities are no less than 5-star hotels. Students are allotted single rooms and the campus is green and beautiful.

Considering everything, facilities, education, and campus life I feel JIPMER is not overrated at all.
