Inside of PGI chandigarh from bsc nursing point of view.

This course gives a better income within short duration of time and as pgi provide permanent job to students with bond(bond is there). Class shedule is very hectic as we have to go clinical area in morning (hospital duty) then after duty we have class and labs. College timings are 8:30am to 5:00pm. There are a lot of Assignment and written work. But everything is evaluatory and everything is evaluated on the basis of performance not biased system. There are 5 casual leaves per semester. In my point of view they should increase holidays as students get tired with there busy schedule. Semester wise external exams are taken here, and we do have different centers for exams. We do have Preparatory holidays and we can consultant our faculty online offline in both ways if we need them. Faculty are very Coorporating.

Students who graduate from pgi itself will get job as we have bond system here. Pgi recruit it's own student it doesn't recruit outsiders. Students who don't want to work here have to pay a minimal amount and they can leave their jobs as written in bond. For job we have to complete our requirements like working hours, etc. During posting we do have option in which area, ward we want to work, in which shift we want to work, leaves are provided. Health benefit are provided. 5 family members are included for health benefits. And as a student we get staff benefit for treatment. As treatment for staff is fully free of cost.

Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.

Admission fee- 5000(refundable). Tuition fee - 835 per year. Exam fee - 200. Hostel charges - 3500 per year. Mess fee- 1080 per month. Scholarship available. After completion of course we required to work here for atleast 3 years. They will provide job for minimum 3 years as a nursing officer.

Annual fest is here (zenath). And foundation day of nips and pgi nursing celebrated here in which some stars come here to perform. Sports Complex is there in complex. 24*7 library is provided. Library card is provided without any cost and library card is compulsory. Conference are held here many times . We have to attend conference as they are compulsory. International Conference are held here, we can participate in them. Hostel daily outing is provided. We can hang out in chandigarh as here we have food outlets near pgi within walking distance, we can hang out after college. Festivals are celebrated here with a lot of joy. Freshers and farewell are amazing. You will not miss your social life here.

We are provided two seater room, We share room with our batchmates. Every room include 2 almirah, 2 table, 2 chair, 1 fan, balcony Here every room has it's balcony that's my favorite part of accommodation. In washrooms we have gyser for hot water, we have 1 washroom and bathroom for 6 students. And daily they get cleaned by cleaning staff. We are provided with water cooler. Senior Juniors are friendly here. Zero raging in hostel and college. Water supply is 24*7. There is no scarcity of water. For a year electricity bill is just of 500 rupee. It's too affordable living here. Mess provide a meal with around 2 subji and roti rice at a time. We are provided with breakfast, lunch and evening tea, dinner. Daily food items arw changed We do have a weekly menu. They do provide sweets. We have to pay hostel fee per month which is of 1080 rupees again it's too affordable. We can pay online offline in both ways. I didn't rented a pg here. Bsc nursing students are provided hostel. But for other course they have to rent pg and they are around 15000 per month which is not affordable at all. In hostel we have a lot of open space for walking and roaming around. We do have common area for all the party and stuff. We do have washing machine in hostel.

I had appeared for neet. But as a average student i couldn't make it to be a doctor insted i cracked pgi chandigarh nsc nursing entrance. Pgi chandigarh is very affordable. It provide job as bond is signed during admission, hostel is provided, everything is very affordable here, we have to pay for uniform and that is one time investment. Pgi conduct exam for admission. Pgi chandigarh bsc nursing entrance is the name of exam, it's basically conducted in month of june or july and it is conducted in 4-5 state of north india, it is for females only. Merit list will ne released after the result and student who get their name in list can apply for counseling. Currently there are 89 seats in bsc nursing for 2024 but from 2025 seats will be increased and they will be 128 . Exam is of moderate level. It comprises of biology 20 question. Physics 20 question. Chemistry 20 question. English 20 question. Nursing aptitude 20 question. Paper is conducted in online mode Exam is of 2 hours and 100 questions will be there and +1 for a correct answer and -0. 25 for a wrong answer. Eligibility- Age -17 Education- 12th (50% marks required) Exam is conducted in many languages. All the best for exam.

Faculties are very approachable, there are 6 faculty for a class and even external faculties are included for external subjects. Library is provided for students. Coordinator is always available for students and is she is not available then co-coordinator is available. Semester wise exams system. Many practice exams like internal exams are there, for boosting students confidence micro teaching are there for evaluating students.

Hostel outings are from- 5:00pm to 8:00pm On weekend its from 5:00am to 8:00pm 2 nightpass are given to students per month. Student can hangout within hostel. Students do have a night shift here. Students who want to go library can go while thry have to inform warden. Gym is in pgi. Cafeteria is within college. Staff canteen is in hospital with minimal rates like 5 rupee tea and 5rupee samosa, it's too affordable.
