SGPGI Training & Stipend
SGPGI appoints Senior Residents (Hospital Service) initially for one year after which the appointment can be renewed every year, up to a period of maximum 3 years.
Students in DM, M.Ch, and PDCC courses are appointed as Senior Residents while the students admitted to MD and MS courses are appointed as Junior Residents. First of all it is the greates and most modern government hospital of Whole uttar pradesh . Most people dream of it to come and complete their higher studies ! The admission process is like u have to clear a exam that is conducted through ATAL Vihari Bajpayee institute of medical sciences this is a common exam through which u get admission in sgpgi and other afilliated colleges !
Admission:
The good aspect of my college is it comes under SANJAY GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES which is a well known and one of the top institutes and hospital of the country. The teachers are doctors working in the same hospital. Every department is directly associated with the departments inside the hospital, the director of the institute work together with the Nodal officer of the college in order to run the smooth function. The only bad aspect is it was established in the year 2018, although fully equipped with all the requirements. My admission was conducted through an entrance exam conducted by the university itself on August 2nd. The results were declared by the 21st of August and the next few days went in completing the rest of the admission procedures. We joined the college in the first week of September. I preferred this college solely on the name and quality of SGPGIMS. I knew I would get good exposure to practical as well as theory through this college.
Course Curriculum Overview:
We have the best faculty members in our department they are scholars with Ph.D degrees and also holds experience in their respective field of study. Our dealings in our curriculum was based more on Transplant immunology, Progression of renal failure and interventions to retard it, Renal bone disease, Acute renal failure, Diabetic nephropathy.

Everything Is Good, Theory As Well As Practical. Great Focus Is On Practical Work. It's Superb To Be There.

Teaching covers basic, medical, and surgical specialties, with compulsory and optional courses covering areas relevant to all aspects of medicine. There is a strong emphasis on research and training in research methodology in postgraduate courses.

The B.Sc. Nursing is a 4 year degree program accessible by the institute with total 40 seats in it. B.Sc. with 7 specializations is a 3 year and plus 1 year internship program. Well as far as I believe the course I had chosen was fine enough. The exam structures are held on the foundation of university standard but class test held every month. SGPGIMS Lucknow offers DM in 8, M.Ch in five and Post Doctoral Certificate programme in 13 specializations.

The new curriculum is very well structured than the previous curriculum. It will come into action now. It highly focuses on practical knowledge along with theoretical knowledge. Exams happen every year and you need at least 55% in them to qualify.

The MBBS course is very well maintained and has been updated recently. A research project is also compulsory and moreover, college has excellent research facilities. Exams are conducted every 6 months after the semester ends.

Candidates have to first appear for the entrance exam followed by counseling or personal interviews for the allocation of seats for admission. Admission to B.Sc Nursing is based on merit in the UP CNET entrance test. ABVMU B.Sc Nursing Round 1 Seat Allotment 2024 Result has been declared for admission to B.Sc Nursing at SGPGI. The last date to register for Round 2 online counselling is July 18, 2024. Seat Allocation Result for Round 2 online counselling will be released on July 21, 2024. The last date for seat acceptance is July 22, 2024. Selected candidates must report to the college by July 29, 2024.
