SGPGI ! Dream College of Medical Students

I applied to agriculture bsc and paramedical.i got confirmed in sgpgims paramedical. I chose this college because it is very reputed. I didn't apply anywhere else. I gave direct entrance exam of sgpgims. Eligibility was 12th passed with PCB .Cut off of the exam was 50percentage . overall experience is very bad. College is running in a very bad condition. There is no placement for college students. Also there is no permanent teaching faculty available in the college. Behaviour of the college staff is very bad. I applied in era medical university and paid the fee as well but then i got selected in sgpgi, i chose this college because it holds a good ranking in all over india. I had applied to only 2 colleges (era university and SGPGIMS) and got selected in both of them You will have to appear in the enterance exam held by up government and you will get the admission on the basis of your merit. I chose this college since it is ranked 5th and is topmost in Uttar Pradesh. I gave an exam for pgi chandigarh too but unfortunately i could not get the desired percentile for the exam henceforth i got rejected. Comparing pgi chandigarh with pgi UP id suggest go for chandigarh since it provifes stipend to students and hostel facilities are better there. Also its ranked 2nd. Its the best you can get after aiims. But in uttar pradesh try getting sgpgi due its more clinical exposure and better ranking than other colleges of UP. Basically this course is run by SGPGI, lucknow. SGPGI is famous for being among top 10 treatment hospitals in ranking. Like anyone would choose AIIMS and JIPMER, anyone would choose SGPGI over any paramedical college. The good aspect of my college is it comes under SANJAY GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES which is a well known and one of the top institutes and hospital of the country. The teachers are doctors working in the same hospital. Every department is directly associated with the departments inside the hospital, the director of the institute work together with the Nodal officer of the college in order to run the smooth function. The only bad aspect is it was established in the year 2018, although fully equipped with all the requirements. My admission was conducted through an entrance exam conducted by the university itself on August 2nd. The results were declared by the 21st of August and the next few days went in completing the rest of the admission procedures. We joined the college in the first week of September. I preferred this college solely on the name and quality of SGPGIMS. I knew I would get good exposure to practical as well as theory through this college....Read More
