Life of a AIIMS Student.

The course is a medical course so yaa i wanted to learn about human so opted for it .It's alike MBBS but a bit easy than that .we have subject specialities like Medical surgical ,Obs gynae,Pediatrics ,Community etc like mbbs only but we need to learn them in duration of 3.5 yrs then we have internship of 6 months. Curriculum is maintained but need to be more realistic as some things are outdated. The subjects we learn are patient centred only as we have to be there for them ,provide care to them and treat them .everthing we read in classes we apply and co relate in our clinical.postings for better learning and experience

We have to pay 3165 rupees in total for 4yrs of academic fees plus hostel charges .No other charges are taken examination fees is taken as per subject at the time of professional exams every year.Fees is same for each catergory. No scholarship as such is there on merit basis.

Here we have central library where we have some sort of books and an e-library where you can read any book or journal everthing is available provided by the institute itself. Here we celebrate every important day like mental health day or any other day by organizing various competition and events . Multiple sport activities and inter college competition are organized in the campus . A annual function fest is organized named AFFINITY in December where we have DJ night ,star night ,various competition of sports and cultural activities like dance ,singing ,drama . The classroms are lecture theatre well equipped with ceiling lights,centralized AC,digital board and projectors and a steping ladder like sitting arrangements. We have multiple clubs running for students like literary ,sports ,cultural etc where we can gather and foster our skills nd talents .

Hostel is compulsory for all students .rooms are equipped with almirah and light fan facilities with cot with mattress and additional chair table for studying. In hostel we have drinking water supply on each floor .we have a separate mess which charges 4k per month ,meal quality is good and we have 4 times in a day like breakfast,lunch ,snacks and dinner services.The mess is also fully furnished and had AC on each floor .

I always wanted to have a tag of AIIMS so initially i got admission in king george medical college ,lucknow which is much reputed and best college in uttar pradesh but after 10 days i got selected here in aiims so i resigned from there otherwise it is the best . For getting this college i have to appear for AIIMS entrace exam for bsc nursing .Eligibility is PCB in 12th and only females can apply .The cuttoff goes moderate like out of 100 you need to get 60+ marks to get a college of your choice in general category .After giving exam ,there comes an cutoff merit list for selected students then you need to go for counselling in the alloted AIIMS for document verification and further medical examination of yours .after all this you finally gets the seat and that tag of being an AIIMS Student. The hostel facilty is compulsary for all students here.

The classes are taken up by departmental faculties like of anatomy ,physiology etc and our own nursing faculties also.So there are a wide number of teachers available for guidance. Faculties are easily approachable and given us freedom to approach them anytime to ask our doubt and queries. The curriculum is vast but interesting as we have to study many subjects and exams are of like mid term ,pre professional and finally professional exams with practicals of speciality subjects . Exam papers are bit standardized to clear them up we need to study hard as well.
