Pgimer bsc nursing detailed information

This is a very noble profession.also pgi is very renowned college. Doing bsc from pgi is very different than doing sams course from other places private or even other govt colleges..as pgi offers job placement in pgi only after completion of course to 80-90%of the students which is not given even in aiims also. Exams are moderate level if we attend classes with focus and revise everyday

Internship in pgi hospital only.students are sent in different departments to learn skills .there are night duties also for which a guard bhaiya comes every night to take the students from hostel to their respective departments and to drop them off also.

After intership placement in pgimer is there..job offered in pgi only.90%of students get job placement there only after degree completion starting salary of 70000 ehich increases upto 1lakh within few years

First year fess is 835yearly and security amount 5000.from 2nd year fees is approx 635 /year.shich will be refunded after completion of course along with the security amount. Scholarship is provided 500rs per month to every student from first year only till last. During internship 6 months 13500 stipent is provided.

There are many sports events and also fest in December for 4days . library is very good with all the books ..two libraries are there one is college library with limited books and central library of pgi which has vast varities of book open 24*7 but as a hosteler we have to come back to hostel before 8pm.class rooms have screens and mics installed

Beds and table chair ,almirah isprovided in hostel room room is shared between two students with each room having separate balcony .hostel is provided for maximum number of students as in our batch all students who applied got hostel approx 86-88 students and rest were from Chandigarh only..hostel is 2000 rs yearly and mess charges 1080 per month .meal is good plain parantha everyday in morning breakfast with butter, pickles and tea for Wednesday and Saturday aluu parantha and on sunday aluu puri is there for sunday dinnere there is matar paneer .lunch dal ,sbzi, roti ,chawal and raita..and for dinner sbzi, daal ,roti ,chawal .we can also keep our own kettles inductions and irons in our room without any extra charges we have to being our own bulbs ,mattress c,urtains, buckets and mugs.we can also bring our own cloth stand for drying washed clothes as the balcony is not very big . The hostel is very close to college just two mins walk .and bathroom and toilet is shared by 6 students.

There are 93seats in pgimer chandigarh .we have to clear entrance exam t get admission here.. competition is quite high .cut off for general category goes above 99 percentile.for other categories too cutoff is 95percentile and above.

The teachers are very very supportive also there are many teachers for each subject .teacgers are phd or msc from pgi only and have experience of 15-20+ yrs. All teachers are very good and supportive approachable ..ravneet maan .anamika maam amandeep maam are very nice.for anatomy we have doctors from pgi who take our classes . There are two tests internal and one main exam. Everything is discussed in class we just have to listen our teachers guidance and follow their instructions. We have one final exam of 75 marks for physiology (37)and anatomy (38) in which we have to pass in both subjects separately otherwise we will fail in both subjects.and same for psychology and sociology.so we have to be thorough in all the subjects otherwise we will fail.
