Talking about the fee structure, we are required to pay an annual tution fees of Rs 9000. This includes the two semesters each with a tuition fee of Rs 4500. While admission, we need to pay an extra amount of 2000. This includes the admission fee, development fee and the lab fee. This is a one time payment, while the initial admission process. We also need to pay an amount of Rs 11000, during the counselling process out of which 10,000 is refundable if you choose a seat in any college. Also, jf you r opting for hostel facilities, you need to pay an excess of Rs 144 annually which includes stay and electricity charges( food charges needs to be paid separately and may be about Rs 3500 per month).

Tuition fees is not very much. The whole course will cost you around 60k rupees in West Bengal except the personal expenses, books and instruments. Our per semester fee is Rs 45000. So for all 9 semesters, it sums around Rs 40500. I have not seen at fee hikes in the last five years. Fees is the same in all West Bengal government medical colleges. On admission, it takes Rs1500 as admission fees. Then we have to one time Rs 2000 for registration in the 1st year. Every year examination fees for enrollment is Rs 2000. Government scholarships are provided. For SC, ST, and economic background students. In the internship period, we are paid with Rs 29000 stipend every month. After mbbs, there is a prospect of housestaffships with a salary of Rs 45000. There is 104 house staff post chosen based on ranks of 3rd proff marks.
