We have to clear the NEET exam with a good rank to get into govt clg. It's hell competitive bcz only 1% of the students gets selected out of 25 lakh students. Only 50k govt seats are present so it's quite a lot difficult

Eligibility criteria is: 1) 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology 2)Entrance exam was National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) The application form and other details is released in the official site or NTA which is nta.neet.nic.in for specific duration announced by NTA at the same official website I belong to unreserved category so i did not avail any benefits of reservation. The exam happens one a year in the first Sunday of May (subjected to changes during emergency situations). The duration of exam is 3 hours 20 minutes. The admission process is more or less smooth but i feel that it could have been smoother. Because at some centre it is terribly managed. So the management needs to be improved.

CNMC is a Govt Medical College in Beniapukur, Park Circus area of Kolkata. It ranks 4th in Kolkata. You have to get NEET 14-15K all India rank in general category and West Bengal Rank of 600-700 to get a seat. The admission process is smooth and takes place under the West Bengal Health University. Admission process begins around 10days after the Neet results are announced, first there is verification of the documents ( including your domicile, Id proofs, class 10th and 12th results, all other documents are mentioned when you apply for verification). After your succesful verification, a state merit list is uploaded within 4-5 days. Then you have to apply for counselling and give your colleg priority list. Then the process is just same as all India counselling. You have to take admission in the very first round, if the seat gets upgraded you will just have to collect the documents from previously alloted to your newly allotted college.

Admission to this institute is on a complete merit basis and by national-level competitive examinations. Previously admission to the undergraduate course was through WBJEE and AIPMT. From 2017 onwards NEET has become the sole entrance test for admission to undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses. 15% of undergraduate seats are filled up through all India quotas and 85% of undergraduate seats are filled up through state quota. For postgraduate seats, half are filled up through all India quotas and the rest are filled up through state quota. Every year 250 students are admitted to the MBBS course based on their National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET-UG) rankings.
I got admission through NEET(National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and I applied through MCI(Medical Council of India) and in the first round I get NMCH(Nalanda medical College and hospital)but in 2nd round, I got CNMC(Calcutta National Medical College). I got admission through the general quota but many of my friends in my college got admission through some quotes but he also has to give NEET test and go through the same procedure as MCI.
CNMC&H situated in Kolkata is one of the best medical colleges in India. The faculties here are one of the best in the country. The hospital has a very high inflow of patients as it is situated in the heart of the state's capital Kolkata. The college was established in 1948, making it one of the oldest medical colleges of the country as well. Hostel's condition is an issue on which the college authorities should work on. The condition of hostels in medical colleges isn't very good. Plus, if you are coming from some city outside West Bengal you will have a language problem, as most of the people speak Bengali here. But this problem is very minor as you can easily learn Bengali in 4-5 months. Admission is taken according to your marks in NEET. Reason for preferring this college: 1. It is one of the oldest medical colleges in the country. 2. It is situated in the capital of West Bengal. 3. It has the best nephrology and urology department.
I had a passion regarding this profession. The faculty students ratio for each department is roughly about 1:25. Teaching mainly consists of lectures and hands on practical classes. The term exams takes place after around every 3-4 months followed by a final MB exam which takes place annually for each year. The difficulty level is moderate.
