Come under top medical college of kolkata.
Good educational infrastructure for student
So much patients exposure during internship

Dislikes

Little bit untidy due to so much patients load
Not spacious, compared to other medical college
No personal room available for medical students.

Admission:

As this college is situated in the kolkata. Which is very vibrant city that fasinate me a lot. After that education system of west Bengal is really good. Also this college come under top three college oc west Bengal.

Fees is very less .. anyone can afford it
Internship stipend highest in india of all medical clg
Best city life..many things are nearby like metro etc

Dislikes

Campus is not clean..more investment required on cleanliness
New hostel with more room should be there

Admission:

I was expecting to get ipgmer kolkata but i didn't got it even the cutt off was 650 and my marks was also 650 . Only benefit of ipgmer was of better hostel. But nrs is better overall as it has no politics and more to learn in internship

What is it like to study at Government college of nursing nil ratan sircar medical college and hospital

Likes

Relationship between faculty and student good
We practice basic nursing skills in various ward of nrsmch, very nice clinical skills
Good cultural program , you can show your various skill here

Dislikes

Faculty number should be increase , faculty are always overworked
College timings are very hectic, we have 8am to 1pm ward duty then we have 1 hour lunch and then we have 2 to 4 Classes

Admission:

You have to give jenpas ug entrance examination for getting admission in this course. It is very good college after sskm and mck it ranked number. Due to distance related problems i get admitted in this college.

Gnm opportunity at NRS medical College

Likes

The course is offered only for girls. No boys are allowed.
Offers good clinical field for practice of procedure.
Regular basis classtest and other assignments.

Dislikes

Sometimes faculties behaviour is not good.
There is hostel facilities but not for all.
Holidays are not enough. Sometimes special occasions in home can't be attended.

Admission:

While I applied for colleges NRS medical College was at my first choice because of it's popularity and reputation. At the first round counseling I have for this college and I accept it and not applied for any other colleges. Eligibility criteria for this course is higher secondary with 45% marks in english and by qualifying entrance exam I got chance for admission in this college.

The bonding that we share between seniors and juniors is something that is absolutely treasured. In any situations seniors are always there by our side to help us find a way out of it. They are the ones who become your sheild and protect you .
The balance between the academic and non academic life is something I would really love to talk about. The college hosts a lot of non academic events and fests that not only rejuvenates your soulbut also gives you enthusiasm to continue your studies.
Next thing i would say is the different workshops and seminars that the college hosts. This helps boost your knowledge as well as also allows you to have hands on experience on several topics. It also allows one to find their areas of interests.

Dislikes

The innumerable number of exams are obviously something no student will like. There are exams almost every that checks your weekly performance in a particular discipline. Eventhough it's hated by most yet we know that will benefit us in the long run.
Nxt would be i think , the library hours, which remain open from 9 am to 7.30 pm from spmonday to friday and closes by 4pm on saturdays. Honestly 6 is the time most of us start studying after the college hours, so 1.5 hours is really not enough.

Admission:

The main reason for choosing this college over others was that it is near to my hometown. But there are a several other factors like the ones I have stated as to why I like this college. Talking about the cutoff, you need to have an all india rank within 8000 for the general category , within 50, 000 for the SC category.

One of the best medical College in kolkata

A large pond is there , looks like a beauty spot in between my college. Fishes and ducks are there in the pond .
2 badminton court is present, lighting is maintained properly , we can play whole night if we want
Good faculty. Decent infrastructure. Prime location.

Dislikes

Canteens are not well maintained and the quality of food is below average.
Non Bengali speakers will have problems to blend in. As most teachers are primarily bengali so language can be a barrier
Campus could be better cleaned. Patient party sleeps in the campus areas at night, thus campus isnt cleaned as much

Admission:

We have to NEET a compulsory pre medical entrance test. The ranks in neet procure us with medical seat. Application date generally comes in the month of November and December. Application fees is 1700 for General/NRI. Rs 1600 General-EWS, OBC-NCL category candidates.Rs 1000 for SC, st PwBD and third gender. Reservation-aiq 15% and state quota 85% 40% general, 10% EWS, 27% for OBC, 15% sc and 7.5% for st category candidates. Frequency- once a year generally in the first week of May. Difficulty level - easy to moderate.

Very large size playground . Intercollege tournament is there. Female tournament are also done . Football, cricket are played
A large pond is there , looks like a beauty spot in between my college. Fishes and ducks are there in the pond .

Dog stool is present every where in roads in some days .
Only one mri and one ct scan and one pet ct scan unit is present

Admission:

Pass class 10th and 12th with 45 % marks , with PCB subject in class 12th. Crack NEET exam , it is a all india based competitive exam . Then undergo councelling . Either state counselling if you are from west bengal state or all india counselling .

Why should and shouldn't you get into NRSMC

Likes

Good faculty. Decent infrastructure. Prime location.
Departments pay attention towards the students.
New buildings are always been built. So development present.

Dislikes

Non Bengali speakers will have problems to blend in. As most teachers are primarily bengali
Canteens are not well maintained and the quality of food is below average.

Admission:

Get 60 percentage in 12th Give NEET Cut offs increase every year, you've to get a rank below 8000-9000 to safely get this college if you're a general category student. Reservation is present like every other college. EWS seats can also be availed if you're eligible for it. Seats for PwD candidates also present Admission process is smooth,just gathering the documents required for admission can be hectic. Check the Wbuhs website for details of documents. The college will also give a notice regarding documents required.

A peek at NRS

Likes

The college is one of the most prestigious and reputed colleges of the country with a patient footfall of 6000 per day. Its a government college 150y old.
Great faculty, classes are held regularly, hostels are nice and clean, room is spacious. We've a huge field for students and auditorium. Co-curriculars are held throughout the year.
Campus is big with good security. Our fest- ECSTASY is full of grandeur. Artists like farhan Akhtar, Vishal Shekhar, Sonu Nigam, Anupam roy and many more have performed. The library is open from 9am-8pm. Library and lecture theatres air conditioned

Dislikes

Being in central kolkata, Sealdah area is crowded
Campus could be better cleaned. Patient party sleeps in the campus areas at night, thus campus isnt cleaned as much
As strength of each batch is 250, it becomes difficult for the professor to pay attention to every student

Admission:

Admission is only through the NEET exam, and class 12 graduated with physics, chemistry and biology are eligible for the exam. You get a college according to your rank. I had a 6k rank in 2021 and got this college via state counseling. I'm from general category. Exam is held once a year. I believe it'd be better if it was held more than once like JEE

Know your NRS medical college .

Likes

One of the oldest medical College in India. Thus has long legacy.
One of the best medical college in the west bengal.
Big hospital with huge patientload. Thus provide good exposure.

Dislikes

Campus is only 87 acred. Our college becomes even smaller.
We are provided with four people in the hostel room, makes it congested.
Our hostel has limited rooms. So getting rooms sometimes become different for nearby residents.
