  • To be eligible for NEET PG, you must have completed MBBS and must possess provisional registration certificate of MBBS
    qualification issued by the NMC/SMC.
  • You can fill out the application form for NEET PG in February 2026.
  • You must have completed an internship by or before 30 September 2026 to be eligible for NEET PG 2026.

NEET PG 2026 Eligibility

Before applying, a candidate must ascertain that they fulfill the following NEET 2026 PG Eligibility criteria before applying for the exam:

  • Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
  • Academic Eligibility: An MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized by the NMC Act 2019 and the IMC Act 1956.
  • Internship: Candidates with an MBBS degree and completed internships by September 30, 2026, will be eligible to apply.

NEET PG 2026 Admit Card

Admit cards for NEET PG 2026 will be available for download on the official NBE website. Applicants must use their login credentials to access the admit card. It is mandatory to carry the printed admit card along with a valid ID proof and a passport-sized photograph to the exam center.

NBE will declare the NEET PG 2026 result and cutoff together for all the categories by August 2026. The Cutoff is defined as the minimum qualifying marks you need to be eligible for admission. While the 2026 cutoff is still awaited, you can check the cutoff set for the previous year to get an insight.

As per the latest information, the NBE is likely to revise the cutoff percentile in case the number of qualified NEET PG candidates is less than 3 times the total number of seats available.

The counselling process will be conducted in 4 rounds, along with a mop-up and stray round. Counselling registration is to begin in September 2026. Upon qualifying for the cutoff set forth for NEET PG 2026 counselling and admission, you can register through the official website at mcc.nic.in. using your registered email ID and mobile number.

MCC is likely to release the NEET PG Seat allotment PDF based on the college-wise seat availability and choices as filled by the candidates. The authority is responsible for conducting the counselling for 50% AIQ seats in all ESIC colleges and states, and 100% seats in all Deemed and Central Universities, considering the AIQ Merit list that is prepared by the NBE.
