NEET PG 2026 Photo Size and Image Upload Guidelines

NBEMS will start accepting NEET PG 2026 registrations anytime soon, expectedly between 15 May to 31 May 2026 on its official website @natboard.edu.in.

Candidates who want to fill the form successfully must carefully understand all the image upload guidelines released by NBEMS.

Candidates need to upload their photograph, signature and thumb impression images while filling out the NEET PG 2026 Application Form.

• Based on the NEET PG image upload instructions, Photographs, Thumb Impressions and Signatures should be uploaded in JPEG/JPG format only.
• The file size for the above mentioned documents should be less than 80 kb.
• The candidate's photograph should have white background only with at least 75% coverage of the face and head of the candidate.
• Apart from a passport photograph, candidates are also required to upload a real time image during form filling.
• In case candidates have made any error during NEET PG registration, they can rectify those mistakes during the edit window.
• Candidates can edit their Signature, Photograph and Thumb impressions during the NEET PG edit window.

NEET PG 2026 Photograph Guidelines

The Photograph for NEET PG application should be:

• Passport-size, and not older than 3 months.
• Devoid of any border and the facial features should be clearly visible.
• Recently clicked, having the name of the candidate and date of capturing the photograph imprinted at the bottom of the photo.
• A color one with white background only and at least 75% coverage of the face and head of the candidate.

NEET PG Real Time Image Upload Guidelines

Apart from passport size photographs, candidates applying for NEET PG 2026 must upload a real time image captured from their device.

The image upload instructions for the real time image are given below:

• Use a device with a working webcam or in-built camera.
• Wear formal attire and use a plain white background.
• Ensure proper lighting on the face without glare on the camera.
• No other people or objects should appear in the image.
• Capture a front-facing photo showing the full face, ears, neck, and shoulders.
• Maintain a neutral expression with eyes open and looking at the camera.
• Do not include body parts below the shoulders.

NEET PG 2026 Signature Guidelines

The applicant’s specimen signature for NEET PG application should be:

• In running handwriting, preferably with a black/blue fountain pen.
• In white background with dimensions not exceeding 3.5cm(width) and 1.5 cm(height).
• Candidates are advised to draw a box of 3.5*1.5 cm dimension and sign inside the box.

NEET PG 2026 Thumb Impression Guidelines

Candidates filling NEET PG 2026 must follow the below given guidelines for Thumb impression:

• Draw a box of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm (width x height) on a white sheet of paper.
• Use a fresh blue/black colour ink pad.
• Set the scanner to 200 dpi.
• Save the scanned image of thumb-print as .jpg/.jpeg format for uploading

Candidates must follow the following guidelines to avoid rejection in NEET PG registration:

• Use a recent color photo with a white/light background.
• Wear formal attire and ensure proper lighting.
• Keep face, ears, neck, and shoulders clearly visible.
• Look straight at the camera with eyes open.
• Upload clear JPG/JPEG images in the prescribed size and dimensions.
• Check the image preview before submission.
• Don’t upload old, blurry, cropped, or edited photos.
• Don’t use filters, screenshots, or black & white images.
• Avoid masks, sunglasses, caps, or anything covering the face.
