  • The provisional answer key for NEET PG 2026 is expected to be released by September 10, 2026, marking the first time NBEMS will officially publish the question IDs and correct answers.
  • A re-test was successfully conducted on September 5, 2026, for 2,445 candidates in Jaipur following an internal power failure at two centers during the main exam.
  • The main examination was administered to over 2.65 lakh candidates across 1,111 centers nationwide on August 30, 2026.
  • In contrast to the previous year when the board did not publish an official key and results were declared on August 19, 2025, this year's transparent process includes the release of candidate response sheets.
  • The final results, along with the qualifying cut-offs, are scheduled to be announced by September 30, 2026, which also serves as the cut-off date for internship completion.

NEET PG 2025 exam was conducted on August 3, 2025, in a single shift from 9 AM to 12.30 PM. Over 2.42 lakh candidates have appeared for the NEET PG 2025 exam. Candidates had to answer 200 questions divided into three parts – Pre Clinical, Para Clinical, and Clinical. The exam duration is 3 hours 30 minutes. 4 marks are awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. NEET PG 2025 total marks is 800.

Steps to Raise Objections Against NEET PG Answer Keys

Generally, if the NEET PG 2025 answer key is released by the NBE, candidates can raise objections against the same with a payment of INR 1000. The answer keys from the NBE website, i.e., natboard.edu.in, by entering user ID and password. Students must provide proper justification while challenging the answer keys, and choosing the right response.

  • There is no provision to challenge the answer keys provided by the coaching institutes.

In case more than one candidate obtained a similar high score in the exam, the following rules will be implemented for breaking the ties:

  • Candidates having a greater number of correct responses in NEET PG paper will be placed in a better merit position at first.
  • Secondly, the one having a lesser number of negative responses in NEET PG paper will be placed in a better merit position.
  • If the tie persists, the older age candidates will be determined for a merit position.
  • Lastly, students with higher aggregate percentages in all MBBS professional examinations will be considered for merit.

NEET PG Results

NEET PG 2025 Result

The NEET PG 2025 results were released on August 19, 2025, at the website, natboard.edu.in. The validity period for the results will be the current academic session. Candidates need to provide their user ID and password to download their respective scorecards. Once released, the results cannot be sent for re-evaluation or re-verification. NEET PG merit list will be published based on the All India 50% quota rank.

  • NEET PG scorecard 2025 for individual candidates will be released on August 29, 2025, after the result. The scorecard provides vital information such as roll number, category, All India Rank (AIR), and NEET PG Rank, which will be crucial for admission to postgraduate medical courses.​ 
  • NEET PG result 2025 is valid for one year only. Score card shall be available for download only for a period of 6 months.
